We have a little saying in Michigan (you may have the same saying in your area). The saying is; "If you don't like the weather, wait a bit and it will change.
This Spring, it seems we go from warmer weather and sunshine, to snow. You just don't know what you will get!
The next day I woke up to snow and slippery roads!
This was the view from my work window. It doesn't look like Spring, does it?
But it's coming, and I'm so ready for it!
We had some rain here yesterday, but the snow stayed in the mountains. Spring is the season of changeable weather. It was interesting to see how the maple trees are tapped for syrup. I hope you have a wonderful week. See you again soon. P.S. How is your dad doing? Keeping him in prayer. :-)
ReplyDeleteA nearby county is having their Maple Festival in about a week. We have this same saying! It was in the sixties all week, then a snow blizzard on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteNow that's an interesting sap collecting set up! I've never seen that type. Very interesting. // We have the same saying here in Kansas ... if you don't like the current weather, wait five minutes. Great photo of the cardinal! They are my favorite birds! I'll be oh-so-glad when Spring is here for good!! Blessings to you, my friend!! Praying for your dad!!
ReplyDeleteThat's how it's been here in my neck of the woods (Northern Virginia) as well. One day 60 degrees, the next day snow and gusty winds. I like that saying, "If you don't like the weather, wait a bit and it will change." Just not such abrupt changes from one day to the next.
ReplyDeleteI love the cardinal!!!
ReplyDeleteYep, same here, Mari. Same here sigh. Have a beautiful day friend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cardinal.
ReplyDeleteYep! You never know what you're going to get in this state! Hopefully we are turning the corner now! In spite of that, I love the cardinal in the snow pic!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great photo of the cardinal! I bet you love that window, being able to look out at nature off and on as you work.
ReplyDeleteThey are tapping in the NE too.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pic of cardinal and snow.
Hope things are going well, with your Dad.
🌷🌺🌷Gentle hugs🌷🌺🌷
Same weather here in western Maryland.
ReplyDeleteNice to know though that one day it will be spring!! :)
Naturally, I think the male Cardinal in the snowy branches is one of my fav photos you've snapped so far. Well done! *grin*
ReplyDeleteBlessings. xx

That handsome cardinal would be perfect on the cover of a Christmas card. I was taught that both Fall and Spring are fickle seasons. Not rock-solid like winter and summer.Although here in California, we could have winter in Fall and summer in the winter. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of the cardinal! Real maple syrup... yum!! Hurray for warmer temps!! You have a great view from your work window, by the way!! xo
ReplyDeleteYou know we have the exact same saying "neighbor" and same kind of crazy weather. Mother Nature always seems to be extra whacky in the Spring. I think she may need some meds. Lol 😉
ReplyDeleteYes the weather is crazy in Michigan . I remember that growing up there but you are also so blessed to live in a beautiful state. The great Lakes and lighthouses are so wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blogs and it's so cool meeting another Michigander. :)
God bless you and your family.
Prayers for your daddy
also that cardinal looks so stunning against that fluffy white snow. So pretty
ReplyDeleteYou're right! That snowy vision doesn't look like spring is near at all.
ReplyDeleteThe saying around here is "If you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes!"
ReplyDeleteHaahaha spring is nothing if not fickle! Same here, but to less varying degrees ... yesterday was sunny and warm, today is rainy and cool! The sap bags are fascinating to me! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe're having the same weather. I was at the beach yesterday and it was almost 70, today it was freezing again.
ReplyDeleteWe're in Colorado! Yep, natives and the weather is a roll of the dice. Yesterday snow and cold. Today 50 degree temps and sunshine. I am catching up commenting. Prayers for your dad too.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for spring. I love when the time changes.
