An evening with Cassie

Friday evening we went to Heather and Andrews house, and had pizza together.  Andrew wasn't there, a he was helping with a project at church so it was just Heather and Cassie.
Our reason for going there was to drop off a cute shopping cart that someone at our church gave me to pass on to Cassie.  It's perfect for her right now, because she loves to push things, and put things into things like boxes, so she'll be loading this up and pushing it around.

Excuse the blurry pic.  It's very hard to get a picture of her, because she doesn't sit still!

She's still not too sure of us, and wanted to make sure Mom was close by, but she warmed up as the night went on. (Do you like how Bob matches the pillows?  We didn't even notice till I looked at these pictures!)  :)

She loves to crawl into things.

A funny thing she has started doing is imitating funny faces or movements.  Here she was making a face back at Heather.

And here she was blowing raspberries back at Bob.

She loves books, and Bob was thrilled that she sat by him to look at one.

What a fun evening!

  1. Cassie is such a cutie! So glad you could spend an evening with her. My oldest daughter LOVED little shopping carts when she was little. I think we went through two or three. She loved carting things around. Yes, Bob does match the pillows perfectly! Was that on purpose?!? ;-) We had sliders again on Friday and Charly said he completely agrees with Bob, that those sliders are good anytime! Have a good week. See you again soon.

  9. I wrote a comment on this post with Cassie. She's such a doll!!!
I remember mentioning Cassie & Bob's glasses...is he the only one in the family that wears them? If so, it may make her uncomfortable.

    Now, click "publish" Anni!!

  10. Anni - I never thought of it, but Bob and I are the only ones with glasses. That probably doesn't help things.

  12. Casssssiieeee! Love that little face. Kids that age love to push things, don't they? Melly and Lissy and Dagny and now Ember have all pushed around the Melissa and Doug mini grocery carts we bought for the first two, so many years ago! Load, push, unload. Hours of fun. How sweet that Cassie let Bob hold her and read to her. Precious moments. xoxo
