Fall Drive

I took a drive down the country roads around here, to show you what Fall is looking like in my area.  There are some nice pops of color, but not a lot.  I think it's been such a warm Fall that we may not get good color this year.  It's still pretty though!

The farmers around here are working hard to get the fields cleared.

There are still a few wildflowers blooming.

Lots of green yet, but a little color.

This vine is really pretty.

Here's a tree that is really dropping leaves.  We'll see what next week brings.

  1. Fall is such a lovely time of year. I love the fall leaves. With all the rain we have had, the leaves will shortly be completely off the trees. So glad you were able to get out for a fall drive.

  3. I think I love the path in the corn field best. Deer come running out of places like this here.

  4. Oh my...that colorful vine is stunning!! I like the photo of getting the crops in and the lane between the corn rows. A most perfect country drive.

  5. Around here the weather is still warm, too, so not a lot of colors are showing.

  6. We have a vine like that on one of the trees at Grimmwood. They are so pretty in the fall. Glad to see the farmers working out in the fields getting in those crops.

  11. My favorite time of year is starting to fade already. Sigh. It's been blustery here so losing lots of leaves now. Your pics are so pretty. I love how much farm country you have around there. Adds such charm

  13. I'm amazed each year by how slowly it all unfolds, then wham, a good freeze and a windy day, and all the leaves are on the ground. xoxo
