Every year I try to take the girls out for a little shopping and fun before school starts. We did that again this year and had lots of fun! Here's some pics of our day.
We usually try to get a pair of shoes for each of them, and maybe a shirt. However, this year, the mall didn't have a very good supply of shoes. And when we found a pair we liked, they were the wrong size.
I was looking for shirts and saw the girls goofing of in front of this mirror. We did find some cute sweatshirts here.
We went to the food court to have lunch and ride the Merry go round.
And, we found out it no longer runs during the week, only Fri to Sun.

They also found this huge candy selection that they thought was pretty cool. We didn't get anything though because we were about to have lunch.
After lunch, Ruby said we needed to ride the escalator because "it's fun!"
Then we took the glass elevator back up. They were jumping up and down while looking out the glass panels.
We went to another store to look for shoes.
We had success! Alaina found these cute boots she was so excited about. I asked her what her Dad would say about them, and she said "He'll say I look beautiful!"
And we found some cute little black boots for Ruby that she liked because they have little zippers on the side.
It was a hot day and they reminded me that last year we got ice cream when we went out.
This year I took them to a frozen yogurt place. They thought it was the best because they got to choose things to go in it. I had to keep them from filling it with all sorts of candy!
Along with memories of a fun day together!
What a fun thing to do with granddaughters!! I really love their boots!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! I adore their boots and sweatshirts. Such a sweet pic of the three of you together. I remember fun trips like this with my nieces before school each fall. Have a blessed day.❤️
ReplyDeleteJust perfect photos of a wonderful day together. What a lovely and fun tradition. And what smiles and joy you have given them! The boots are adorable! I think you should make a photo album of one or more of these photos for each year, and it will show how they have changed each year as well.
ReplyDeleteHow fun for you and your grand daughters! Looks like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteLove, love their choice of boots. So chic.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, both girls, I agree...are beautiful!!
That first photo of the three of you should be framed & on your desk at work.
What a fun day...you can tell from the clothing they chose that they are growing up into big girls.:) But their yogurt toppings show they are still your little girlies.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day with your cute granddaughters. Enjoy the rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteY'all go to the coolest places. Actually, I like the flip flops, but I'm a Florida girl. Even here in SE Georgia we practically live in those things. *lol*
ReplyDeleteBlessings. xx
Awesome! What a fun time, I am sure. I hope you have a beautiful day, Mari. Smiles

ReplyDeleteI love the picture with the burgers, and your grandies waving their hand.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shopping finds, although it hurts my heart to think of how soon they will need warm sweatshirts and boots! Ugh! Summer don't go! Y'all sure know where to find all the delectable treats! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a great grandma you are, and what fun, sweet granddaughters you have. Could I go along some time?? :) Love the little boots and the sweatshirts.
ReplyDeleteYou are always doing super fun stuff with those girls! Can you adopt me for a weekend? Haha!!
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so late this week. You're the bested Gram around with the cutest granddaughters - the end. Lol 😊
ReplyDeleteLovely photo of you and the girls.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the posts about your fun visits. They are very blessed to have such a cool Grandma.
The boots are very cute.
We have a frozen yogurt place around here that also lets you choose from a large variety of toppings. It's a chain called Sweet Frog, but I don't guess they're at your mall too?.
