The recipe I have for you today is not my own. Last week my sister Cheri - who is a great cook - dropped off a loaf of bread. It was English Muffin Bread and was so good! We toasted it and had it for breakfast. She gave me the recipe to share with you and she said it's easy to make!
English Muffin Bread
5 1/2 cups warm water
3 packages (24 grams total) active dry yeast
2 tablespoons salt
3 tablespoons sugar
11 cups bread flour or all purpose flour
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until incorporated. Leave to rise until double in size. Divide dough between 4 bread pans and let rise unit it reaches the top of the pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Brush tops with melted butter, then bake another 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow to cool. Best if enjoyed toasted.
This bread freezes well - or you can make someone happy by sharing a loaf with them!
It looks like a very easy recipe.
ReplyDeleteYum, it looks delicious! I just got up to take some english muffins out of the freezer.
ReplyDeleteI love English muffin bread, thank you so much for sharing this recipe, Mari!

ReplyDeleteWe both would live this. Toasted, with gobs of butter!!!
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued....what a great recipe and good to bake and share.
ReplyDeleteYum
ReplyDeleteI bet this is good and especially toasted.
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous loaf of bread! I don't use yeast much these days, so if I could, I'd run over to your house for a slice and a nice visit!
ReplyDeleteWow that sounds like a lot of reward for very little risk or effort! You had me at "toasted" ... recipe duly copied! Thanks, Mari and thanks, Cheri!
ReplyDeleteGosh, that looks good. I can almost smell that sweet aroma! You know we eat keto (low carbs/no sugar). Well, I've been buying a bread made by Sola. It's low carbs no sugar and tastes so good but I miss that heavenly aroma of homemade bread. Yum.
ReplyDeleteBlessings. xx
Maybe even I could make this bread! Thanks for sharing - you and your sister! xo
ReplyDeleteThe bread looks delicious! A recipe maybe even I can do. I've always wanted to bake bread. The backyard campout with the girls was such a fun post. Grandpa is amazing. Well, you both are.
