Spring and early summer are one of my favorites times of the year. Of course, it's wonderful that the cold is gone, I love the blue skies and gentle breezes, but seeing all the flowers blooming is so fun! We enjoy walking around the yard in the evening, seeing the new blooms from night to night.
Here's what's blooming in our yard right now.
This is a columbine. I like the way the flowers hang down and it's pretty color.
Our white clematis is loaded with flowers this year.
Peonies are one of my favorites. My Dad has a huge bush that I'm jealous of. We have a hard time with them, but this one plant usually gives us a couple blooms and I'm always happy to see them.
This is Lady's Mantle. The flowers aren't so pretty, but the leaves are cool, especially when it rains.
This is a Coral Bells plant. The red leaves are pretty all summer long, but I like these airy little blossoms too.
You have a nice yard and your flowers are beautiful!

ReplyDeleteAll of your blooms are so pretty. Peonies are one of my favorites too and ours have really outdone themselves this year. That white one of yours is so pretty. How interesting your Coral Bells are. The leaves on mine are green and the blossoms look like little bells when they open up. I'm going to see if I can find the variety you have because I really like the red foliage.

ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful variety of flowers! And you take amazing pictures of them!
ReplyDeleteEach time I see that gate I try to picture where we could put one of those, haha!
Bob is an absolute genius in that garden! I think I may have accidentally planted some coral bells in one of my giant poolside pots! Anyway I'm going to check tomorrow and see if I'm right because something that I thought was coleus is sending up flowers that look like those. It's a mystery. I may send you a picture tomorrow. I'd do it now but it's dark out, haahaha xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love your garden gate! I have a thing for gates you know; gates and fences. All your flowers are so pretty. You have a beautiful yard, and a good gardener. :) Poppy tells me I created this mess so I can take care of it. He mows around the pond and up around the garden where nothing grows. :(
ReplyDeleteYour yard has beautiful flowers! I had a huge peony bush at my old house and it was so pretty when it bloomed! I wish the flowers would last longer though! I gave my daughter a clematis a few years ago and it's really taking off this year!
