Bob has been hard at work at our place. We decided it was time to pull up the carpet in the living room and put down vinyl flooring. The carpet had been there for some time, had some stains and was looking worn. The problem was that carpet ran right next to the dining room and kitchen which had flooring we had put down several years ago. We couldn't have two different floorings next to each other, so the kitchen and dining room had to be done, and that meant the entry way needed to be done... So, you get the picture. Lots of work for Bob!
This has also meant furniture moving, lots of things put in the spare room, things shoved against walls. I'm happy to say it's almost done and things are getting back to normal here. I think Bob's happier than me though, his knees are sore!
We're very happy with the finished result. I'm so thankful for a husband who is able to do all of this work. He's a blessing for sure!
Oh, Mari, I love your new floor!! The color is great and you really are blessed with that man of yours!! Great job, Bob!! I know you worked hard, too, Mari, moving things and putting them back. We did that in our old house and even put a tent up by our pool to store things... it was a mess and we had someone else install the flooring. I know you are loving it and the new rugs look perfect! xo
ReplyDeleteThat looks great! So glad Bob is so handy that he can do the work and save you guys lots of $$$. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWow, that sure looks nice. You are lucky to have a husband that can do it for you. Our flooring is dark and I do not like it. I plan to get my kitchen cabinets painted while to offset the dark floors. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI would never have known this is vinyl! It looks like expensive wood flooring! Very pretty and fancy.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! Great job Bob!!!! Loveeeeeeeeeeee it. smiles
ReplyDeleteThe new flooring looks so nice. I would need to hire someone, and I have, whenever I needed new flooring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job Bob is doing...love the flooring and how bright and modern everything looks, Mari.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth that a little project can quickly grow into a very big project but the results are wonderful and am sure you are pleased.
ReplyDeleteWhat a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder he is so happy, to be done. His poor knees!!!!
Marvelous job (nearly) done!!!!!
Very nice to have handy husbands!!!!!!! -smile-

My hubby knows exactly what he was dealing with in getting all that flooring down....he did the entire second floor in this house about 2 years ago. Christy and Corey chose vinyl flooring that had lots of variation in color, etc. Dale could not just put whatever next to each piece so he painstakingly matched as good as possible and it looks amazing! I really like your color choice, vinyl is such a good, durable flooring. I still hope to put it in our area in the basement someday too, not the same as what is upstairs though 😊
ReplyDeleteWow! you are going to feel like you have a new home. Bob deserves a week of pampering after all that work :) I love the paneling by your back entry. I have been saving pictures like that on Pinterest and hoping to try something along those lines in my bedroom.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job, Bob!!!
Wow... your new floor look amazing! We just put wood laminate in our living and dining rooms and our half bath. It's a big job for sure! It's nice to have a handy hubby to take care of these projects. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou have been keeping Bob busy. Everything looks lovely, Mari. And I love the rugs...they go so well with the new flooring!xx
ReplyDeleteWell done Bob. I like the new floor. The new color is so modern. You're gonna be so glad you've done this. We removed all our carpeting in the house a couple of years back. I couldn't believe how bad it was smelling (I know, TMI! lol). Not that yours smelled bad but ours did. Whew. With our new vinyl Pergo floor, everything stays cleaner and smells that way. I think you'll find that too. I don't think we'll ever do carpeting again. Ever. I don't even care to put down a rug except in the Living Room. When one has three dogs as we do, the odors tend to linger on fabric.
ReplyDeleteWe're having grilled Rib Eye Steaks with fresh mushrooms tonight. Wish y'all could join us!
Don't work too hard. xx
Kudos to Bob for a job well done!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, elegant vinyl color!
Mari, I love the new flooring. Bob did a great job and I know that was hard on the knees. Your rugs are lovely, also.
ReplyDeleteI love that floor! We put vinyl flooring in our upstairs hallway in our old house. I loved it and loved the way it felt under bare feet! Then a few years later we put laminate floor on our living/dining room. It was beautiful but yes, a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteThat flooring is gorgeous! Can you share what it is and where you got it? I have some I love in my room, we just installed it in the fall, and when I say "we", I mean my son-in-law. It isn't waterproof though...
ReplyDeleteIt does look fantastic, phew what a lot of work, but the "after" pics, so nice!!!!!

Wowzers! God bless Bob (& his knees) Lol 🙏 It looks just beautiful Mari! I bet you're one happy wifey. 😉
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing! Great job, Bob! And great job, Mari, choosing the flooring and the rugs. Someday I hope we can do that here before we would ever need to sell, but Dick will definitely not do it, so it will be expensive.
ReplyDeleteWOW what a project but SUPER gorgeous! That Bob is a marvel. Everything looks so nice for my porch-sitting visit, haaahaha xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. How blessed you are to have such a handy spouse.
