Christmas!

 Hi Friends!

Before I get into regular life again, I have to go back and share our Christmas with you.  Like many of you, Christmas was quieter this year.  Usually our kids come on Christmas Eve and we have my whole family on Christmas.  This year my whole family had already  had a party, Heather was just home from the hospital so things were different.
On Christmas Eve we went to our church's Candlelight Service.  It was a very nice service and we were glad we could go.
Aaron, Laura and girls came for dinner on Christmas Day.

We had a yummy ham dinner.

After dinner, we opened stockings and then gifts.  Alaina and Ruby thought it was very funny that their Dad got coal in his stocking.

The girls were having fun playing with some new toys.

Heather and Andrew had spent a bunch of the day up at the hospital with Cassie.  We were hoping she would be home by Christmas.  Her feeding tube was out, but she had to show that she would keep breathing ok.  So we were sad she wasn't home, but surely wanted to have her healthy.
So after Aaron, Laura and girls left, I got a light supper together and Bob and I went over to have a little Christmas celebration with them.

Here's Heather and Andrew opening their stockings.  Somehow, Andrew got coal in his stocking too!
We didn't stay late, but had a nice time and hoped we would be back soon to meet Cassie in person.

  8. That picture of the girls at the tree!!! They are so beautiful and grown-up looking!

I know the pain of leaving a baby at the hospital. Lisa had to stay two more days after I went home, and Anthony for over a week. Those were long, hard days, but so easily forgotten after they are home. I'm glad you could spend some time Christmas evening with them.

  9. Your little girls are so sweet and so pretty. It makes me happy that we have watched them grow into little ladies through your blog. I feel like I know them. It was a quieter Christmas for most of us but we can look forward to this year. Cassie is adorable (FB pictures!). It will be fun seeing Alaina and Ruby with Cassie once she is home and able to interact with them. God bless your beautiful family!!
