Family Time

As I told you yesterday, Andy and Nikki were in town last week.  They arrived early Wednesday morning and spent the night again on Wednesday. They went to the Upper Peninsula and spent Thursday and Friday there, then came back Friday night.

We also had the girls overnight on Friday, so it was a full house!

When we picked the girls up on Friday night, Alaina had a "schedule" to show us with her plans for the time they spent with us.  Each colored square is a different activity, and it all folded up into a packet.  It said things like - play with dolls, jammie time, eat cheese and crackers, watch a movie, do a craft.  I thought it was the sweetest thing!  And when we got to our house, she pulled it out and started following her schedule.  Unfortunately, we had no cheese for the cheese and crackers so we went out for ice cream instead.

We did watch a movie.  I thought the girls looked so cute snuggling on the couch together.

On Saturday morning they had a water gun fight with Uncle Andy.

Friday night all the kids came over for pizza.  It's not often I get all my kids together, so this sure makes my heart happy.  Andy had told the girls he didn't want broccoli on his pizza, so when we were at the store, they both said we had to buy some broccoli for him.

I couldn't get a picture of all of them together, but here's all but Andrew and Heather.  We had a nice night, lots of talking and laughing.
Andy and Nikki headed back to Kentucky around 9pm, and the others went home.  It was a wonderful weekend.

  12. Oh, how wonderful to have all your kids home together. Like you, we don't get to have all of our kids together often since our daughter moved to Virginia. The last time we were all together was last Christmas.
