Alaina is 7 and it seems she is always losing a tooth lately! She's had a front tooth that's been loose for a few weeks, and lately has been hanging by a thread.
On Friday, Laura got a message from her teacher saying something funny had happened. She said Alaina was eating lunch and her tooth disappeared. She must have swallowed it.
When she came home, she was concerned about the tooth fairy, so she wrote her this note:
She's learning to write things how they sound, so here is the translation:
Dear Tooth Fairy,
Sorry to say, I ate my tooth on accident. I was eating a nugget. All the sudden my tooth fell out!!!
I felt nothing.
PS: Please give me something.
From: Your toothless Alaina
The tooth fairy did come, and left a note saying that since the tooth wasn't where it was supposed to be, the money was in a different place too, and there was a clue to find it. She also suggested that Alaina let her Mom and Dad help with the next loose tooth, so the same thing doesn't happen again.
In the meantime, Ruby has decided that all she wants for Christmas is for all of her teeth to be loose, because Alaina is having all the fun!
Here's the toothless Alaina:
Hopefully this is it for a little while or she won't be able to eat. :)
Oh how sweet, I remember my Annie losing several teeth similarly. They grow up so fast.
ReplyDeleteI sure do miss the fun of having little ones around!! I love that the tooth faerie left the money somewhere else!! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. Your granddaughters are both adorable. I love the Christmas card you sent us. Merry Christmas to your entire family!
ReplyDeletePriceless!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute and sweet. Love the thoughts of children.
ReplyDeleteMy little great nephew lost a tooth last week and the tooth fairy forgot to come. She left him a note the next night that she was flying to his room and bumped into one of the Elfs on the Shelfs who was flying around and bumped her head.lol Glad the tooth fairy is more reliable up that way!!lol
ReplyDeleteThat note is beyond precious! Cute picture.
ReplyDelete{{big smiles}} --Priceless and precious, Mari. When Liam was little, he got a letter from "Santa"...back then we had to wait until my folks sent their annual Christmas check in order to buy gifts, only he didn't know that. He just thought we were so poor (well, true) and was afraid Santa wouldn't come that year.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mari for the many smiles.
What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteLove that sweet and innocent note and the 'treasure' hunt is a fantastic idea :)
Warm wishes.

Such a cute letter! I was able to read it without the translation. I think that comes from teaching phonics all those years...and then having to help students learn the correct spelling of words. :) And I love it that Ruby wants all her teeth to be loose for Christmas! Can't have her big sister having all the fun. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I laughed so hard at this. "I felt nothing ... your toothless Alaina" ... haaahahahaaha! So original. Good on Laura and Aaron for making it a learning experience. And tell Ruby that the Pirate said, you want to hang onto your teeth as long as possible. And that's the tooth. xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo Sweet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Merry Christmas.
Connie :)
Aww! Alaina's picture is so sweet. Her letter to the tooth fairy is so cute. Ice cream is always easy to eat. :)
ReplyDeleteJenny - you crack me up!!
ReplyDeleteWe're trying to keep Ruby's teeth in her head for a while, her favorite pass time lately is wiggling her teeth and showing us how "wiggly" they're all getting.
Alaina has another loose one, so I'm hoping she'll let us pull it out sooner this time!
Hahaha, that note is hysterical. Bless I hope she got something. :D
ReplyDeleteBuby wanting to lose all her teeth now, hahahaha!! And that note is THE BEST!!!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of Sammy's very loose tooth coming out when we were in Florida last summer and Bianca's dramatic announcement right in the middle of our adult conversation, "YOU GUYS!! YOU GUYS!!! SAMMY'S TOOTH CAME OUT!!!" It was like the event of the year!!
