Monday is Memorial Day in the United States. It's the unofficial start to Summer; many people open their cottages and camp for the first time of the year, lots of yard work is done and the BBQ's are fired up. However, the real reason for Memorial Day is to stop and remember, and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defending our country and others. So, while you are enjoying the day, be sure you take time to remember!
Well said, Mari. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Summer Mari!!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you and yours this Memorial Day.
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteHere in the Uk today is a Bank Holiday but to be honest I have no idea why!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
ReplyDeleteSame to you, Mari. smiles
ReplyDeleteIt will be a 'work around the house' day for us.
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day to you!
I hope you had a nice day with your family, Mari.
ReplyDeleteAn important day for all of us....
ReplyDeleteWe remembered, both in church yesterday and as a family today. Plus we had a cookout and lots of scrumptious sides, and a birthday party for Erica. It was a wonderful day and I'm grateful to all those who died for our freedoms. God bless America. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI heard Michael Savage on the radio call out to us Americans who like to pray to make sure we say prayers for families of fallen soldiers. If we've not lost anyone in war, we don't know their pain but we can pray just the same. I thought that was a good word.
ReplyDeleteWow, now that is what I call a greenhouse!! I always get choked up on this special weekend. I love this time of year, thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful summer...
Hugs, Roxy
