Bridge walk!

Friday evening we stopped at Aaron and Laura's house to drop something off.  They were getting ready to go out for a short hike to see a new bridge that was recently opened at a park near us.  The bridge is a suspension bridge that is 250 feet long and 70 feet high. It was built to allow people to cross a huge ravine in the park and to connect this park to another one. They asked if we wanted to come along, and of course we said yes.

The girls wanted to walk along a grassy trail next to the paved trail.

Some of the fields were filled with these beautiful wildflowers.

We really don't have a lot of Fall color yet, but we found a few pretty spots on the walk.

The girls and the dog seem to have unlimited energy!

Aaron spotted this little nest tucked into the crook of a branch.

Ruby loves holding Grandpa's hand while walking.

We made it to the bridge!

They sat for a brief moment for this picture...

Looking down from the bridge - it's a long way down!

This park is on an old farm, and the barn is still standing.

The sun was setting when we got back to the car.  Such a pretty walk!

Here's one last picture.  I took a quick shot of Aaron, Laura and the girls, along with their dog.  When I uploaded it onto my computer I laughed out loud.  It's a nice picture of them all but Ruby stole the shot!

It was a beautiful evening, and a fun walk with some of our favorite people!

  10. Your trees have far more color than we have here. What a lovely walk with the beauty, the girls, the dog and of course, Ruby's fun personality.

  11. Oh, beautiful photo of Laura's family, and that RUBY! What a card. You have some beautiful fall color compared to here, where nearly everything is still green! If we can get some cooler nights and a bit of rain, we'll be in business. xoxo
