We started by petting this huge rabbit.
He was very patient and just laid there while all the kids were touching him.
Ruby preferred to pet the bunny that Alaina was holding.
There were little goats too. They were awfully cute!
Ruby liked holding the little chicks.
Alaina loved them too.
There was even a duck!
In the middle of holding animals, this little boy started crying. Ruby immediately knelt down and started patting his head and cheeks. I think she likes babies more than animals!
There was even a little calf and a baby horse. They stayed in their cage, but the kids had fun petting them through the rails.
We ended our time by sitting on the statue in front of the library. What a fun morning!
What a great idea! It looks like the girls had a great time. How sweet of Ruby to try and calm that little boy down. So cute!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if the girls thoroughly enjoyed their morning! I love all of the things you find to do with them when you have them at your home over night. SO fun! And I loved how Ruby reached out to comfort the little guy that was crying. :) So sweet!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww...thanks for the smiles, Mari. Have a beautiful day.

ReplyDeleteCute idea to have a petting zoo, and I'm sure a fun time was had by all.
Your Grands are adorable, and have such sweet personalities. I'm sure you are very proud of them.
Such a sweet day for the girls, and for you also. Love the photos.

That is such a sweet moment with Ruby and the little boy. So glad you captured that!
ReplyDeleteThe girls look so happy to be near all of those animals. What a great opportunity for them. Baby goats are just the cutest.
ReplyDeleteThe girls are so cute and so sweet with the animals..
ReplyDeleteWhat fun for the girls.....glad you got to spend the day with them.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Such sweetness in these pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun petting zoo! I'm sure they were excited they actually got to hold them! And I think you're right- Alaina loves animals, Ruby loves babies. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry MIA again a lot last week. Getting back on track. I love seeing your sweet Girls. They just make me smile. ;) And that Ruby with the gleam in her eye and her with that baby is beyond precious!! Maybe she needs a baby brother? Lol
ReplyDeleteBlessings on your week ahead dear Mari! xoxo
Those two girls are so adorable. And Ruby!! For all of her tomboy bravado...she has such a sweet heart!! Alaina too, but look what Ruby did for that little baby!! Wow!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet , Ruby may end up like my Bennie. She maybe a whisperer.
ReplyDeleteCheck my post for today.
Oh, that looks like fun! I could go there and spend a bit of time myself! haha. That Ruby...what a sweetheart. Looks like her attention worked!
ReplyDeleteOh, that sweet little Ruby. What a precious picture!
ReplyDeleteI like that statue!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those girls are so adorable! I'm with Ruby, I'd take a baby over an animal any day....although the animals are really cute too :)
ReplyDeleteI always have mixed feelings about zoos. Although I'm not a massive fan of animals I don't like the idea of them being in cages, however well they are being looked after, but it is a lovely opportunity for children to pet them so at least they are getting love and attention!
ReplyDeleteSo precious...love Ruby's sweet heart.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Ruby and the baby boy is amazing, Mari. The way his eyes are locked onto hers, and the distress on his face! She was comforting him big time, telling him not to be afraid. That's precious. Also I love Spots and Buckwheat (I adore goats) and the girls' braids! What a great time you all had. xoxo
