I will have to admit I have never hung anything on a clothes line. I have worked all my adult life and had no time to wait for line drying. Now I am too old. Hahaha!
I love the scent of the washed and line dried linen my mother wrestled with, in all weather, then ironed and folded away. I never realised how much work she put into so much of what we as children took for granted and wish I would have put it into words. I loved that little cartoon, but it gave me pause, remembering the scent of it, and took me back to realizing all my mother got done while I was in school each day. I wish my mom was still here so I could give her a hug
Haha...I love this!
ReplyDeleteAnd they shrink less than when you put them in the tumble dryer.
ReplyDeleteLove it...and no lost socks, giggling.
ReplyDeleteI love clothes hung on the line....smell so good. Sigh, dont have one any longer and do miss it. Hope you have a good Friday, whether working or not!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the chuckle.
ReplyDeleteI love a great clothesline... nothing in the world like the freshness that clothes get from hanging outside in the sunshine :)
Have a great weekend!

So funny!
ReplyDeleteYep...we were much more earth friendly back in the day!!
ReplyDeleteLOL I remember those days. When Patti was a baby, I'd hang the diapers, and before long they'd freeze on the line. And, we live in FL you know. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend, Mari.
xoxo
Oh how cute.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a nice weekend, Mari.
There's nothing new under the sun, right? haha....
