Cooking Thursday

Who says turkey and stuffing can only be served in November?  Not me!  I made a turkey breast the other day and made stuffing, potatoes, gravy and the typical fixings to go with it.  It was good, but then I had turkey left over and I was lookin for a recipe to use the leftovers on.  I found one we really liked. It's perfect to try the next time you have turkey or chicken left over!

One Pan Turkey Dinner

2-3 cups cooked, cubed turkey
1 can green beans, drained
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup sour cream
1 box Stovetop stuffing, prepared

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place chicken in bottom of 7-11 pan. Spread beans over top of chicken.
Mix soup, broth and sour cream together.  Spread over the beans.
Spread prepared stuffing over soup mix.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until hot and bubbly.

  3. I had to laugh at your opening sentence. Here in Ohio when I was growing up, we only ate turkey at Thanksgiving. I grew up, moved to Pennsylvania and lo and behold, they had turkey every Sunday. Somehow that took away the special dinner time at Thanksgiving because we had turkey all the time. Ha!

I am not a big fan of turkey. However, I am now on a special diet so I eat it most every day. Your recipe sounds really good but there is gluten in there so I will pass this one up. You normal people go right ahead and dig in! Enjoy your day!

  4. That sounds so good! I made a small turkey a few weeks ago and it was really good in March!! I forget about turkey most of the year, but it really makes sense to do one now and then...and the leftovers are great!

  11. I love this meal. I make it with chicken sometimes but have never tried it with turkey, believe it or not. I will have to put it on the list. Thank you. :)

  12. Everything Thanksgiving I ask myself why I don't make turkey more often! Now I have an "excuse". It makes my mouth water just to think about it!
