No Peek Chicken
1 box Uncle Ben’s Long Grain Wild Rice (original recipe)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
2 cans water
6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
In a greased 9 x 13 pan, mix the box of rice, cans of celery and mushroom soup and
two cans of water.
Arrange the raw chicken on top of the rice mixture….
Cover and seal with foil……
Bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 hours and “Don’t Peek!”
sounds tasty and moist. I love chicken and rice together!
ReplyDeleteIn winter I often make this dish when I'm not up to cooking and want something tasty. It's a perfect go to dish and the chicken always turns out wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteWe will love this and I like dishes cooked in foil - easy clean up!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this, Mari. I actually have everything on hand that I need to give this a try. I'll probably try it over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me, and will have to copy recipe and give it a try. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteCould this be done in a crock pot Mari? Maybe on high?
ReplyDeleteI know that this is a good recipe because I make a similar one for Chad. He cannot get enough of that dish!
ReplyDeleteI need to pick up a few cans of soup to have on hand when you post these yummy sounding recipes. I bet this could be done in the crockpot too.
ReplyDeleteI've made a recipe that is very similar in the crockpot, on low for 6-7 hours and about 1/2 can less water.
ReplyDeleteThis really reminds me of a dish I used to make except for the two different kinds of soup and sometimes I'd use pork. So glad you posted this, Mari. I'll making this soon!
ReplyDeleteXoxo

ReplyDeleteMari, I just saw this recipe on Pinterest and I wanted to try it! I'm so glad it turned out well. I will definitely give it a try soon. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like something that Aunt Cheri brought us when we had Alaina. I still remember it because it was so good and comfort food tasting!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this sounds miraculous. I love these easy comfort-food recipes. Thanks, Mari! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis sounds very similar to a chicken and rice dish that Andrew makes. We often add cheese to it. Most things are better with cheese!
ReplyDeleteMy family will love this! I have made something similar with regular white rice. I will look forward to trying this next weekend. Thanks so much!
