We've had some unusual weather here in the last week; certainly not the norm for West Michigan in January. Last week we had a day that was warm - in the upper 30's and it was so foggy! It stayed foggy all day, so around noon I decided to drive down the road to the Grand River and see what it looked like there. I love taking pictures of foggy days, and this is what I found.
On the bayou side it's pretty icy yet.
It looks almost barren, and kind of lonely.
I think foggy pictures have a different type of beauty, and they look a little melancholy! Do you like fog?
Beautiful photos. We have quite a bit of fog in this part of the UK and yes I do like it. It always looks dramatic but it's not always easy to capture on camera so you did well!
ReplyDeleteI love fog! So mysterious and beautiful! We've had a lot of fog lately, too!...and the alternating warm and cold days!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos, Mari. I do like fog. Fog here in the mountains is very pretty. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteVery unusual pictures for sure. Fog reminds me of the old scary movies from back in the day! Hope your new week will be good to you.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful foggy weather! It's in the teens here now and will be up into the 60s later this week. You've got to love this crazy weather!
ReplyDeleteI don't normally like the fog and hate driving in it, but your photos are absolutely gorgeous! They do look a little lonely and forlorn.
ReplyDeleteFog is nice if you do not have to drive it in!! We live close to the Tennessee river and some mornings are very foggy.
ReplyDeleteSuch cool pictures! I do love fog too. Fits my melancholy personality I guess - LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteNice photos.....don't enjoy fog, though. Driving in it is the worst of course. It does get foggy on this hill where we live, at times when it's not anywhere else!
ReplyDeleteYes I do, because I love monochrome. That last photo is smashing! You should enlarge and frame a copy of that. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI do like to look at pictures of fog, and I like to look at it, but from inside the house. It can be so dangerous to drive in. Be careful out there!
ReplyDeleteI also think that fog makes beautiful pictures, but I really, really hate driving in it.
ReplyDeleteWe are due snow this week - slightly unusual for us these days - not looking forward to it. Do you want to swap snow for fog!! Probably not! We can enjoy whatever weather we have though can't we.
