On our last night in Eureka Springs we had supper at the Crescent Hotel. It's a landmark building in Eureka Springs and was built in 1886. We were able to look around before we ate.
The front entry.
I love the stone work, the arched windows and the flowers.
The Grand Ballroom.
The front desk.
Isn't this a beautiful old piano?
Across from the front desk.
We enjoyed finding out some of the history of the hotel.
Looking down from the fourth floor!
We had our supper on the balcony of the fourth floor. The weather was nice and the view was amazing!
The next morning we left Eureka Springs, driving over more curvy, hilly roads...
and coming across more construction, but also more pretty scenery.
We stayed in St Charles, Missouri that night.
We enjoyed that beautiful old city...
and it's cobblestones streets.
We had supper here,
with this good looking pair! This is Bob's nephew Max and his wife Mariah. You may remember us going to their wedding this Spring. We thought their city would be a good place to stop on the drive home, so we could spend some time with them. It was so good to see them again!
We had breakfast at The LaFonda Restaurant in Santa Fe on our trip there and it was just so lovely. Those old hotels are such treasures.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hotel. The front desk and piano are spectacular. Lovely view to enjoy while eating also. Wishing you a nice weekend, Mari.
ReplyDeleteWow....first the lobby and the front desk. Amazing. And it's good to see that E. Springs takes pride in their history.
ReplyDeleteLove the view of your dinner on the 4th floor, but the way up gave me a bit of vertigo.
Cute, sweet couple.
ps...also viewed the open theater and the tour...fantastic. So very awe inspiring. And meeting a blogger in your other post...super fun.

I'm envious of all those great iron bridges you got to cross. I and my camera would have been hanging out the window. Or trying to. xoxo
