This is last summers project; he built this gate, put in the walkway in front of it and did the landscaping.
There were a lot of hosta planted along the garage when you walked through the gate, but no path or other flowers. So, this year his project has been to put in a walk there, and add more landscaping.
Here you can see the finished walk.
He's added some flowers along the other side of the path.
This is the path when viewed from the other direction. When it gets a little cooler, he's going to split the hosta on the garage side and fill in the open spots.
We got this on Friday night:
It's a knockout rose and it'll be planted at the end of the path with the other new flowers.
My job in this? I just go along to the greenhouse and point out pretty plants!
Wow! It sounds like you have a pretty good job! He did a great job on the gate and walkway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job Bob has done. Love it. Your garden looks so big as you go through the gate with all those wonderful trees
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Mari...can I hire him, giggling. Have a beautiful day friend.
ReplyDeleteI have always admired your yard and Bob's beautiful gate but WOW, now it looks fabulous with the walkway and additional flowers. You did good with the rose! Please share more pics in the future. Hope you have a nice Monday.
ReplyDeleteBob is so talented, and has the 'greenest' thumb I know! It looks so pretty from beginning to the end. Hope your Monday is a good one!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic! Hosta Lane is much more of a lane, now!
ReplyDeleteThe gate is beautiful and now, with the walkway, why would you ever need to leave home for a walk in the park? Bob is so very talented and your yard is so very beautiful. I could probably do your job - point out pretty plants - but that's as far as we could go because Joe is not handy that way.
ReplyDeleteHe did such a wonderful job! It is absolutely beautiful ♥

ReplyDeleteThat Bob! He's a great example of truly loving his work. And, no matter what it is, he does a good job of it. And, YOU? A great flower/plant picker outer! The two of you make a great team. :)

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! This is something right out of Better Homes and Gardens!
ReplyDeleteHaahaaha, that sounds like me with Andrew, who is the landscaper in our family. It's so great to have him close by. Your Bob is truly gifted in so many ways. His ideas are fabulous. I like your job best though. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh this is beautiful! I love the stone walkway and he is awesome with the flower garden. I don't have a green thumb. I'm hoping to plant some bulbs about the front of the new house for flowers in the Spring.
