We had a bridal shower for my niece Katelyn at my house on Saturday. My sister Cheri and I had a lot of fun planning and getting ready for it/
Here's a few pictures from the morning. Katelyn likes vintage and pink so that's the look we went with.
A welcome sign...
Letters I painted with crackle paint for Katelyn and Nathan. This was on the beverage table.
My friend made these. Isn't this a cute way to set out the silverware?
These are tin cans wrapped in burlap and lace.
One of the games we played was this match game. These were covered with numbers and when someone found a match, they got a prize to go with the clue; She measured up was measuring spoons, They'll need these was Payday candy bars...
Here's the prizes ready to go.
We had a wonderful brunch that I forgot to take pictures of until it was too late! We had orange juice, frozen coffee slush, an egg dish, sausage, yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, blueberry coffee cake which my sister Terri made, strawberry bread and these beautiful apple roses made by my sister Cheri.
Everyone enjoying the food.
Here's Katelyn opening her gifts. Such a cute sign!
We ended with these cute miniature cookies. They were so intricate; one said Katelyn's Bridal Shower and then there were an assortment that included bridal gowns, tuxedo's, rings, cakes, bouquets and hearts.
We all had a great time and are very happy to welcome Nathan into our family!
What a fun shower! Looks like everyone had a good time, too!

Everything looks so pretty! You and Cheri did a great job! It is hard to believe that Katelyn is getting married. How time flies!
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed gatherings like this....such a happy event before the big day. And y'all did such a terrific jog. The games, the table decor and the fancy cookies and such. But I must say...you HAVE to get Cheri to share how she makes the apple roses!!!!! I'd love to try that fancy delicious sounding treat [treasure]
ReplyDeleteThank you for the smiles...beautiful Mari...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely party!! I may steal some of your ideas. Love the cans with the flowers, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuch GREAT ideas for the decorations and the brunch! I usually beg out of showers (of any kind) but this one looks like it was just beautiful! I love the letters painted with crackle paint, especially! Very creative!
ReplyDeleteYou should go into the business of parties and showers. Everything was so unique and pretty. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shower, Mari. You and your family really know how to make things special for the young women in your life. They must be so thankful for all you do for them. I know I would be. I wish all the best for the happy couple.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful!! I hope they have a long and happy marriage! xx

ReplyDeleteVery well organized--what a lovely event!
ReplyDeleteYou ladies always put on such amazing parties!! Everything looked so CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have showers in the UK. Ha, that sounds like we all stink. I love all the attention to details. It seems that everyone you know loves vintage stuff! I bet that was a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how darling this was in every detail. I'm sure Katelyn was overwhelmed and now has so many precious memories. The famous couples sign is so adorable and I love what you did with the silverware. Tell Cheri we need to know how to make the rose apples. xoox
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm glad I went back and read your posts. I do love decorating for showers. I love the idea of using the tin cans, burlap and lace. Will have to try that on my own! Yummy looking cookies and so pretty! I know it was fun! I miss that about home. So many things I miss about home, but more that I love here!
ReplyDeleteIt was all so cute, so many adorable details. And the food was delicious! You both did a great job. And so exciting to celebrate Katelyn's wedding soon!
