I bet you've all had No-bake cookies, made with oatmeal. They are one of Bob's favorites. We aren't big fans of the coconut that is in the regular recipe, so I make this recipe with no coconut but it has some peanut butter. You really don't taste the peanut butter, it just gives a creamier texture, and the cookies are yummy. I made these when the girls were here, so Ruby was helping!
Chocolate Peanut Butter No-bake Cookies
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 1/2 cup oatmeal
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix
cocoa and sugar together. Stir in milk, and add butter. Heat in
saucepan and bring to full boil. Add peanut butter and vanilla and stir
in. Remove from heat, then add oatmeal.
Drop by tablespoon onto wax paper or cookie sheet. Let cool and enjoy!
She looks very pleased with those cookies! haha.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun recipe to make with kids. Thanks for sharing, Mari. Ruby looks just like Alaina now, it's very striking!
ReplyDeleteThe cookies look yummy, but I love seeing that precious Ruby...she is sweet as a cookie!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes she ever look happy! I guess I would too if I had a pan of cookies like that in front of me! Love that smile!
ReplyDeleteAnd you can't go wrong with peanut butter.
I could barely take my eyes off the cookie chef!! Adorable smile.
ReplyDeleteThese sound like they'd be a favorite for Bud. Everything he likes. And as for coconut, I'd too eliminate it....coconut in cookies just sounds like 'all kinds of wrong'. [I like Mounds tho!!]
AWWWWWWWW...how adorable....loving Ruby's hair. smiles
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie pie! I haven't made those in years, they were my favorite as a child and all my kids loved them.
ReplyDeleteRuby is adorable and it looks like she can't wait to try one of those cookies! I used to make these when I was a kid. My friend, Elaine, and I would make a batch and eat them all during a sleep-over. We never put coconut in them. Our recipe is just like yours. Yummy stuff and very easy to make!
ReplyDeleteOne of our favorites as well but my recipe never had coconut! I make mine just like yours!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the easy and delicious sounding recipe. Ruby is precious!
ReplyDeleteThere's a cookie I can eat....made with GF oats, of course :)
ReplyDeleteYour Ruby is adorable!
You've got a pretty sweet kitchen helper there!

ReplyDeleteOh that sweet little face! She looks happy knowing that she is going to have one of those good cookies.
ReplyDeleteI can eat these so will copy. Thanks so much!
Ruby's face is a classic, that look says it all! So how many of those did she eat! :D
ReplyDeleteThat Ruby, what an angel. And those are some way good cookies. Like candy cookies. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou're very daring allowing her that close to all those cookies!! I can't believe she wasn't digging in!!
