My friend Linda at
Me and Mine had this on her blog header last week. It made me laugh, because even though it's just me and Bob here now, I still can't keep that laundry basket empty. Our laundry is in the basement, and we have a laundry chute from upstairs. Far too often, when I'm finishing up folding the clothes and everything is spic and span, I'll hear that chute door open, and Bob will throw laundry down! Do any of you have the same problem? You just have to laugh!
Oh yes! And the clean kitchen sink is another....a few seconds and a glass gets set in it! haha.
ReplyDeleteYep! Sure, and there's always more. :)

Reminds me of a motto I saw here on FB one time, although I'll update it to make it current: Can you believe it's 2016 and there still is not a "fold" button on the dryer??
ReplyDeleteNever ending. Perpetual. Are a couple of words that come to mind!
ReplyDeleteI too can relate to the cute graphic. I wish dirty laundry was as cute, lol. It is never ending for sure. Makes me wonder how I managed as a student to go a week without doing it.
ReplyDeleteOh oh...you really don't want my comment, giggling. Laundry here gets done everyday--as the laundry room is on the way to the bathroom---and one can not hide anything from that area...smiles
ReplyDeleteI have my laundry sorted and ready to go this morning. Even with the two of us, we have quite a bit!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a laundry shoot, but as soon as I put the hamper back in the bedroom, Joe will put something in it, even before I am done with the piles in the laundry room. Job security? (snickering)
ReplyDeleteOh my do I EVER have the same 'problem'. And I HATE having sweat pants in the laundry. They're heavy and fill a load so quickly. They're my winter nemesis....Bud wears them a lot.
ReplyDeleteUgh....I LOATHE laundry.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I made your two-timin pasta bake! YUMMY! Even Randy ate it and he eats like a bird!
Laundry always in the hampers! And, dishes in the sink :)
ReplyDeleteCute sign.
ReplyDeleteSure reminds me of when all the kids lived at home!
Have a great weekend.

workout close and towels are perpetually dirty here!!
ReplyDeleteIts not too bad now its just the two of us..but at one time there were eight of us in the house...it was never ending

The washing machine is on twice every day. My parter plays sport, my younger daughter works at a horse riding stable twice a week and my older daughter works full time in a children's nursery. The washing is endless.
ReplyDeleteI laughed after reading the sign. I have to admit that I have a problem. I love love love empty waste baskets and empty hampers. However, just as soon as one is empty, clean, and beautiful :) someone throws something in them. It never fails. I must copy this sign and hang it in the laundry room. Ha! Ha!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be both laundry and dishes are two things that are never finished. I can just have loaded the dishwasher and everything be clean and Henry will put a glass or cup in the sink. I guess the old saying 'women's work is never done' is very true.....We do just have to laugh and go on....
ReplyDeleteI'm just envying you your laundry chute. No such thing in the UK..
ReplyDeleteOh yes - preaching to the choir Sister! Lol!! I have come to realize I must make peace with it and know it will NEVER be all done! ;)

Oh mercy ... for me it's DISHES! I often say, if the sink could be empty for FIVE MINUTES ... but no. xoox
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean. Right now, I am sitting here and just before I read your blog, I thought that I needed to hurry and get some laundry in and I know I also have some to fold yet tonight, since I like to take Sunday off! Laundry really is a never ending job - even for us "empty nesters." Enjoy what's left of the weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou are preaching to the choir honey!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! haha
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those weird women who enjoys doing laundry, so it's not big deal.
As long as I don't have to iron anything! :) I'd rather clean toilets than iron!
