Cooking Thursday

We tried a new recipe for supper Tuesday night.  It's a recipe that a friend recommended and she was right!  It goes in the crockpot, and gives you a complete meal at the end of the day.  It tasted great and Bob said I could make this one any time I wanted.  He loved it!

Here it is, all ready to cook.

Crockpot Chicken and Vegetables

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
3 cups whole green beans (fresh)
5 medium red potatoes (cut up in chunks)
1 package dry ranch dressing mix
1 package dry chicken gravy mix
1/2 stick butter
1/3 cup water

Wash and place green beans on one side of the Crockpot. Place cut potatoes on the other side and the chicken in the center. Mix together the dry mixes and sprinkle evenly over the chicken. Cut the butter into pieces and place on top of chicken. Slowly pour water on vegetables (not chicken). Cook on low heat for 7-8 hours until chicken is done and tender

  13. This looks GREAT! Yesterday morning I threw beef cubes, quartered potatoes, onions, baby carrots, and celery sticks into the crock pot with beef broth. That was a really nice aroma upon entering the house later in the day. And so delicious. Adding the dry mixes would have been a nice touch. I'll try to remember that next time.
