The Biggest Story - a giveaway!

Today I am reviewing a book that I am really excited about!  I was offered the chance to review this kids book.  I have always enjoyed kids books, and now, I do even more since Alaina loves books and I enjoy reading to her.  I have to say that this is one of the best kids books I've seen.  The name of it is - The Biggest Story: How the Snake Crusher brings us back to the Garden.
I'll tell you why I like it...

1)  It's a book of Bible stories.  This book has separate stories - from the Garden of Eden to the birth of Christ to the Resurrection to the new heaven and new earth.  It takes all these stories and shows how they all go together into one big story; Gods plan for His people.  It's written by Kevin DeYoung, a pastor from Michigan and is written in a way that makes it interesting for kids but is also interesting for adults.  It's directed at kids 5-8; read to them, 8-11; read to themselves.

2) It's such a beautiful book!  The artwork grabs you with the bright colors and detailed drawings that fill the whole page.  Let me show you some examples:
 Noah's ark
 David and Goliath
 The birth of Christ
The new heaven and earth

Don Clark, an artist from Washington is the talented man behind this artwork.

3)  It's a high quality book.  It's hardcover, 132 pages and even has a bookmark to hold your spot.  The pages are thick and glossy, and as I said before the story and art will make this a favorite. This book would make a great gift for any child in your life. I highly recommend it!

The publisher of this book has offered a copy to one of my readers.  All you have to do is leave a comment, and make sure I have a way to contact you if you win.
I'll post a winner on Friday.

If you don't win, you can go here to buy it on line.

  7. Our 7 year old grandson has just started going to church with us, and has many questions so I know this book would show him and tell him about the Bible stories he is hearing in Sunday School.

  11. Wow! That looks really cool. I'm just starting Lain on the Gospel Project curriculum, which has the same idea of showing how everything in the Bible is one big story and all points to Jesus. So I have "The Big Storybook Bible" for her which is a lot like that.

I'm guessing I can't win this since that would look a little suspicious... :), but I'll have to add it to my list for when she gets a little older.
