Random Act of Kindness
Have you ever been the recipient of a random act of kindness? We were the recipient of one last week. Bob got home from work before me and said - "look what was in our mail today." I thought it was pretty cute, and it sure beats getting bills and junk mail!
Later that evening, one of my neighbors posted a picture with a similar note, saying she found one in her mailbox. 2 other neighbors chimed in, saying they also got a note. One of them said they saw two girls who live down the street putting things in mailboxes earlier in the day.
I know this was meant to be random, but I love knowing who did this. These two girls are about 11, and I think it's pretty sweet that these young girls spent time decorating notes to put in our mailboxes.
This reminds me that it doesn't take anything big to give a smile to someone!
How sweet! Yes, indeed random acts of kindness; so glad you have nice young neighbors. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet! Love hearing things like this about young folks of today. I have been blessed a few times by a random act of kindness (paying for my meal, paying for my items at Walgreens) - I have also done similar things to "pay it forward" too. Sounds like you live in quite a lovely neighborhood. ;)

...and I'M SMILING just reading about it. Sweet girls!!
ReplyDeleteps...just read about your place of work and all the ones not being able to work. You've had some rough schedules and hoping that all will smooth over a bit with the new nurse.
ReplyDelete"In all of the days, this is the best day ever."
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is a wonderful saying!
:-)
Love it.
Beautiful....I love this.
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to be a downer--but we are dealing with some BIG mail issues (that is another story--deals with theft of mail)---I know the girls mean well, but they could get in a lot of trouble for putting things in mailboxes without a stamp...just saying...
How sweet!! A good way to redeem the time on a hot summer day! I commend those lovely young ladies.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree in that it doesnt take $$$ or anything big, to show love to others. Sometimes the small is the best, and those little girls were 'spot on'. How sweet.
ReplyDeleteCute that they are spreading joy and a change from seeing all the hate on the news.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun they must have had doing that!
ReplyDeleteAnother great example of just how much kindness counts !
ReplyDeleteYou are correct; it doesn't take much to put a smile on someones face.
May we all try to make others smile a little more often :)

I bet those girls had a lot of fun blessing others. I am sure that your street is smiling now.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!! Blessed you are, and all your neighbors!
ReplyDeleteThat is very nice. I hope it brought a smile to all the people who received one.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! Makes me think I should have Alaina think about doing some nice things for people - she would love it!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. I'd reward these girls if I was one to receive a note like that.
ReplyDeleteI really, really like this!! Yes! It's wonderful when kids like to do creative things and then share them.
ReplyDeleteAwwww. I would love getting something like that in my mailbox! xoxo
