I love to look at the sky! Blue skies with fluffy white clouds are so pretty, and it seems that we've had a lot of them to admire this summer. Dark storm clouds are also pretty in their own way.
I'm feeling a little melancholy, with August coming to an end. It seems summer buzzes by so quickly and before we know it, it's snowing and we have the gray skies of winter hanging over us.
I guess the lesson is to enjoy the warm days, blue skies, sunshine and clouds while we have them, and be thankful that God gave us different seasons to enjoy and appreciate different things!
Hope you all enjoy your weekend, rain or shine!
What a lovely blue sky full of fluffy very white clouds! You certainly live in a lovely place, Mari. Thanks for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Those skies look like fall is coming!
ReplyDeleteHi Mari, just as you, I started feeling melancholic lately. This feeling of Autumn leaving is kind of "cold but warm" at the same time, knowing how cuddly winter could be.
ReplyDeleteI love watching clouds too, I admire them most when they're fluffy like this in your picture.
I'm trying really hard to understand your melancholic feeling, but I'm so ready for cooler weather. :) Seriously, I do know what you're saying as that is usually how I feel every August as well. I don't know why this year is different.
ReplyDeleteThe clouds are so big and beautiful. God is so spectacular!
I too get a little melancholic about this time of year. Though I love the autumn crispness, I don't relish the coming winter months. Your sky photo is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky photo, Mari. When I think of winter photos, I always remember your frozen lake pictures. That was truly amazing. I hope your Autumn weather will last a long time! Happy Weekend.
ReplyDeleteI can understand your not wanting summer to end so quickly, but here where I am I am LOOKING FORWARD to winter. The mild Spring-like temps we so often have.
ReplyDeleteThis image is spectacular.
Summer sure did fly by, didn't it? I am so wanting cooler weather and I have been enjoying the cool mornings we have been having here.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend, friend. Blessings
We've had such wonderful weather here, too (I love the coolness of them!)
ReplyDeleteSummer has flown by this time. Good to remember to be thankful for every moment.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, I love the fall of year but old winter is so close.
ReplyDeleteMmm...blue skies :) It reminds me of a the song Blue Skies sung by Willie Nelson {my grandpa loved WIllie}. "Blue Skies, smiling at me - nothing but blue skies do I see..." Thanks for sharing, sweet friend. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is one gorgeous photo, Mari.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you as well. :)
xoxo
Yes, I am so thankful for the different seasons. Fall is my favorite. While we hate change, it is sometimes refreshing.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say 'ditto' but I feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteYay for blue skies!! xx
ReplyDeleteI am feeling the same as you, Mari. I love blue skies and warm summer days.
ReplyDeleteThe seasons affect each of us so differently, don't they? I am just longing for fall, because hopefully our seasonal rains are not too far behind. We are in the fourth year of drought, and August is always bone dry, so I am glad it is almost over. Beautiful pictures of the coulds. Blessings to you - Marsha
ReplyDeleteOh please, do not mention the word snow! As a fellow northerner, it's the second-to-last word I want to hear (winter being the last word)...Ah! Please, can we have summer last a little longer?
ReplyDeleteLove your photo of the blue skies and clouds! Hope you have a beautiful weekend as well!
Such a pretty photo! Yep - soaking up all the beauty we can here too!
ReplyDeleteBlessings for a beautiful weekend dear Mari! xoxo
Mari, you can come and see me in the winter!! I have a nice guest suite!!
ReplyDeleteHI Mari! I saw a meme asking if I was ready for popcorn, pumpkins and Halloween. Heck no! I still want the warm weather, sunny skies and birds swooping at my feeder.
ReplyDeleteAppreciation for what I have is the key to joy, my word for 2015. I'm writing a post about how 'joy' has been worked into my year, and I think staying in the moment is another way to be happy. I'll join you in your lesson for thanks and praise for the weather today!
Blessings,
Ceil
I love to look at the sky too, and we often have clouds that look like that. Just amazing! I'm right with you on that melancholy, end-of-summer feeling.
ReplyDeleteOoooh Mari I love this HDR edit. What a sky. The clouds have been pretty spectacular here too. Hooray for fall, my favorite season. xoxo
