We saw these pretty hydrangeas while we were taking a walk.
I love the vibrant green of this moss.
Someone had put up several of these arches a long time ago. This one says "Today is the first day of the rest of your life".
There was time for a boat ride, a few women tried out the paddle boat too. I'm a land lover - I stayed on shore!
The water lilies look pretty, even when they aren't blooming!
What a nice afternoon you had. Looks like a beautiful place. Enjoy the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it was an awesome place to visit! Enjoyed your photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot to spend the afternoon!
ReplyDeleteYou take such great pictures, Mari! Is that arch made of wood or stone? It does look really old. I learned the hard way on a paddle boat. Only go far enough that it won't kill your legs to get back!
ReplyDeleteA nice day indeed. And I must say, Becky is my kind of gal!!! Those arches would be interesting to read 'em all.
ReplyDeleteI grew up at one end of Buckeye Lake, in Ohio, and we always had a boat to get out on the water in. I miss the water. Your friends have a lovely place to get away to. A blessing indeed!
ReplyDeleteI agree...a very nice day! I love those arches...very cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice day and lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty place and loved the arch:)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Looks like a nice day, love the picture of Becky in the truck! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks like the ideal place to rest, enjoy the beauty around you. So glad you got to go and do this before our weather takes a turn.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! We used to live on a lake and I just loved it. That's the main thing I miss since we moved 9 years ago. ...sigh...
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice place to enjoy an afternoon. I'm glad you guys had a good time! Great photos also. :)

Beautiful! I'm a land lover too :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Mari....I had to smile at the arch! I had a poster in the 70s that said that!!lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to spend the last days of summer :)

So very pretty and I would have been on the land with you!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Makes me miss my sister Janet's house at Lake Mead, PA. Boat rides were always part of being there. Sometime I hope to go there again.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place to spend the afternoon. I love the arches, they would make a great place to take photos of people with a sort of frame around them. xx
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you all took advantage of the good weather and spent a day together. I don't care much for water. Now if it is in the birdbath, I like it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day! There's just something about being near a body of water, isn't there? Friends who have a house on Lake Michigan in Ludington have let us use it a number of times over the years and it is, to this day, my favorite place on earth. Maybe because we always go in the off season and we're often the only ones around, but the peace and quiet is wonderful! We didn't get to go the last time we were in the U.S. (not enough time) and I missed it!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great day at the lake. I think that's what God meant when he told us to enjoy a Sabboth's day rest. Worship and rest. I hope to make some connections here soon.
