I told you I would be sharing more recipes from the bridal shower I helped with a few weeks ago. Here's the veggie tray I brought. I'm sharing my recipe for Vegetable Dip today. I got this from a nurse I used to work with and we always enjoy it! It's very easy to stir together and is very good!
Vegetable Dip
2/3 cups our cream
2/3 cup Hellman's mayonaisse
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon dill weed
1 tablespoon minced onions
5 drops Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon Accent
Stir all ingredients together and refrigerate. This tastes best if allowed to refrigerate overnight before eating.
*I always use low fat sour cream and mayonaisse, and have never noticed a difference in taste.
I will make this. We love crisp veggies and dip. Thx so much.
ReplyDeleteYum! Sounds so good. I'd have to leave off the tobacco for me; but the others would like it. The past few months I've been using the Hellman's with olive oil, and it is really good. :)

Looks like a very colorful tray! I think I'd go straight for the cherry tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteSounds good and with summer, the fresh veggies will be available. Blessings
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I never thought to make my own vegetable dip before. I'm going to give your recipe a try. Thanks for sharing... :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...that dips sounds deliciously good, Mari! And I just love how you displayed the veggies...it looks so elegant:). I think the fresh mushrooms would have been my favourite part!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!

This looks delicious! I always use low fat options too, and can't tell the difference.
ReplyDeleteOHHHHHHHHH will use this for sure. Thank you. Blessings
ReplyDeleteYum...we use lowfat mayo and sour cream, too. I can't tell the difference! Your serving tray is very cool!
ReplyDeleteSounds good! I like to mix up a dip. Will try this one!
ReplyDeleteSound delicious!! I always use the low fat versions in my creamy things too with no difference in taste or texture. I think just the fat free stuff doesn't work too well.
ReplyDeleteLOve that serving tray too!! Thanks for
sharing!! xoxo
Thank you for sharing this recipe. It sounds similar to a dipping sauce that my mother-in-law makes for steamed artichokes. She taught me to make it the same way, with sour cream and mayo. Sometimes I use plain yogurt if I don't have sour cream. She also taught me to use Morton's Nature's Seasons seasoning salt. Have you ever tried it? I like it a lot. It tastes a little fresher than Lawry's to me, since it has lots of celery seed in it.
ReplyDeleteI know that this is a recipe post, but I love your layered dish for the veggies. I have never seen one quite like this one. I love it! Perfect for a party.
ReplyDeleteThank, I like to dip. Veggies look so fresh and good.
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to make your own dips isn't it. This sounds like a good one!! xx
