We had Alaina overnight this weekend. Ruby had several vaccinations on Friday, so she stayed home.
Bob had Saturday off too, and Alaina had such fun playing with him. I think he needed a nap to recuperate when she went home!
As usual, she helped me "cook". Then she asked to do dishes. She really gets into her work!
She wanted Bob to go outside with her. No worries about snow - it was in the 40's and she thought that was good enough for playing. Bob shovels a path to his workshop, so they took a walk out to it.
Since she had him outside, she thought a wagon ride would be a good idea.
Then it was time for a little trike ride...
and a testing of the 2 wheeler, which she did very well with. That was enough time outside though. Alaina was getting cold and hungry. She's ready to go when it gets warm!
40 degrees does feel warm compared to what we've had! haha...looks like they had a very fun time!
ReplyDeleteI've said it before and I'll say it again: Alaina lives large! She reminds me of Allissa in that respect. Those two would have a time together, age difference notwithstanding. Of course we'd have to pry Allissa away from Ruby. She's baby-crazy. Happy week! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLooks like she's a good helper! Glad she had fun outside!
ReplyDeleteShe's such a beautiful little girl. I know you enjoy every moment. I've always liked it when they want to help out, three generations. :)

Looks like a fun weekend for Grandpa and Grandma.
ReplyDeleteShe will treasure these memories forever. She really seems to enjoy doing dishes! lol
ReplyDeleteMaking memories is what we do :) what fun!
ReplyDeleteCan I borrow her? She could teach my teenager a thing or two, wink. Beautiful, just beautiful, thank you for the smiles. Blessings
ReplyDeleteSweet memories are being made...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun visit :)
ReplyDeleteShe's a good little helper, and she sure is a busy little thing!
I wish I had her energy **sigh*.... oh, the young really have it made!
She's just so adorable! And what a great little helper.
ReplyDeleteI bet it was fun for her to get some Grandpa and Grandma time to herself and not have to share with Ruby too. ;)
Come on Spring! Alaina wants to play!!
Look at her on that bike! She's doing great. My little girl likes to do dishes too. Long may it last. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is such a delight, and she loves her grandparents for sure.
ReplyDeleteShe is such a little beauty! 40° would have had me all bundled up, though...not playing outside with no hat! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you all had! Special times and special memories!
gotta love someone to help with dishes ;) my sis said her 6 year old son helped cook dinner the other night. the little twerp was too picky to eat what he fixed, but i suppose any help is better than none.
ReplyDeleteOh she is just too cute! Loved seeing her on the bike. Glad she's enjoying it!
ReplyDeletewow - can't believe she is trying out the 2 wheeler bike already!
ReplyDeleteI love Alaina's work ethic! She really does get into her work and everything that she does. Sweet smile of determination.
ReplyDeleteI need a nap just reading this, she is a energized bundle of joy.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
What an absolutely darling little helper you had there.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are absolutely delightful!!!
ReplyDeleteOn Monday I was just leaving Anthony and Lori's house as Lori drove in with Austin. I was so happy to see him as he was getting out of the car. His first words were, "I'm really in a rush." Turns out they had come home to get his bike and were going to his friend's house to ride bike. He didn't have time to talk with grandma, hahahaha!
She reminds me of my childhood days with my grandpa, we were good friends. Her fondness with him will stay and linger forever. Did she see miss the cat?
ReplyDeleteShe sure does have her grandpa wrapped around her finger. ;) It will be more fun for both of them if it ever gets warm... :)
