Here it is - another new month! I'm happy to see March arrive, we're getting closer to Spring!
Here's a few pictures from my day.
My crock pot is a good friend. I often use it on Sunday as we don't get out of church until noon, and it's nice to have lunch ready when we come home. I got this going right away in the morning, before doing anything else.
It's snowing out again this morning, but just a nice gentle snowfall.
Oliver is in his customary position - sitting on the back of the chair, checking things out through the front window.
We're off to Sunday school and church. Our church meets in our high school auditorium. I enjoy my Sunday's off and being able to join with my church family!
After church, it's time to relax and read the Sunday paper.
I enjoy a candle burning, on a quiet, winter afternoon.
We usually take advantage of the peace and quiet and settle back in our chairs for a short nap. Oliver loves to settle in and nap with us.
Heather and Andrew are back from their honeymoon and came over for supper and to open gifts. What fun!
That wraps up another day. It was a good one!
Oliver melts my heart...he is so cute! Sounds like a very nice Sunday. I know you enjoyed the newlyweds' visit; looks like they had some pretty packages to open. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very nice Sunday! A little bit of everything! I can't believe it's March already!
ReplyDeleteOliver is precious! Love the photo of the newlyweds! It still looks cold up there, even if the snow was "light". Wishing you a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI love those kind of peaceful days. My crock pot is my best friend. I enjoy getting it done in the morning and not having to worry about what to eat that evening. Happy week to ya!

Love and Hugs ~ Kat
I can't imagine life without a crock pot! I used to have 3 but pared down to one when we moved overseas :)
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks pretty, but I'm happy to be viewing it on the computer and not in person. ha!
How fun for the newlyweds to come back and get to open presents! Hope they got lots of things they can use.
Yep, snow here too...is it ever going to end???? Lovely pics... thanks for the smiles. Blessings
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day Mari, when you don't have to work and can enjoy life. The newlyweds look positively radiant with happiness. I know you'll be glad when that snow melts, but it sure is pretty. We see only green, although it's been rough weatherwise for the last few weeks. We now enter a season of confusion that will last until mid-April, no doubt! Keep your sweaters and umbrellas handy, right next to your flip-flops. Today it was 70 and sunny; tomorrow, 45 and rainy! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a lovely day! What a lovely picture of the happily married newlyweds :)
ReplyDeleteFinally I am not exhausted after reading about your day!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great restful day and a day of worship too! The newlyweds look radiant and happy to be starting their lives together.
ReplyDeleteCrock Pots can be so handy! Looks like a fun day!
ReplyDeleteI always love reading these first of the month posts. I'm trying to remember to do one, but the first always sneaks up on me! Maybe I should put a reminder on my calendar. . . now there's an idea!
