Cooking Thurday

I tried a new recipe last week.  When it was time to eat, Bob wasn't too excited about it (and I must confess, it didn't look real appetizing).  However, after he tried it, he thought it was great and said I could make it again any time.  :)

Mexican Trash

1 bag Nacho Doritos, crushed
2 cups shredded chicken
3 cups shredded cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can Rotel tomatoes
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 milk
1/2 package taco seasoning

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 2 quart casserole dish with nonstick spray.
Mix all ingredients together except Doritos and 1 cup cheese.
Layer half the Doritos in bottom of dish, then half of chicken mix.  Repeat layers with rest of Doritos and chicken mix.  Top with 1 cup cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.

  2. It is funny how sometimes dishes look really beautiful and taste of not a lot and then other things that don't look very pretty taste so great isn't it! Glad that you loved this one so much. xx

  6. Hi Mari! OK, I laughed out loud at the name of this recipe! So funny!! But as I looked over the ingredients, how could it miss? It might look like trash, but I like everything that's in it.

To me, it sounds like it could even be a dip if you left out the Doritos. Yum!
