I tried a new recipe last week. When it was time to eat, Bob wasn't too excited about it (and I must confess, it didn't look real appetizing). However, after he tried it, he thought it was great and said I could make it again any time. :)

Mexican Trash
1 bag Nacho Doritos, crushed
2 cups shredded chicken
3 cups shredded cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can Rotel tomatoes
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 milk
1/2 package taco seasoning
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 2 quart casserole dish with nonstick spray.
Mix all ingredients together except Doritos and 1 cup cheese.
Layer half the Doritos in bottom of dish, then half of chicken mix. Repeat layers with rest of Doritos and chicken mix. Top with 1 cup cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
I think I would love this recipe. Anything with Doritos I would eat!
ReplyDeleteIt is funny how sometimes dishes look really beautiful and taste of not a lot and then other things that don't look very pretty taste so great isn't it! Glad that you loved this one so much. xx

ReplyDeleteThe picture doesn't look that great but based on the list of ingredients, I know that I would love this!!!
ReplyDeleteIt might be more appetizing without that name, hahaha!
ReplyDeleteHi Mari! OK, I laughed out loud at the name of this recipe! So funny!! But as I looked over the ingredients, how could it miss? It might look like trash, but I like everything that's in it.
ReplyDeleteTo me, it sounds like it could even be a dip if you left out the Doritos. Yum!
Blessings,
Ceil
