This past weekend, we gathered my whole family together to do some family pictures. This included my Dad and stepmom, my family, my brother and my 2 sisters with their families. It's not an easy task when you have to get 20 people together at the same time, especially when one lives in Kentucky and many of the others have to work varying hours.
After my son Andy said he could drive up from Kentucky over Labor Day weekend, everyone else made it work. However, there was a lot of concern as Saturday approached and there were predictions for thunderstorms all day. We had lots of people praying for a clearing, and God answered those prayers - we only had a few sprinkles all day!
We all gathered at a cool old barn on the outskirts of town for the pictures.
Here's some of the family standing back and watching Laura, Aaron and Alaina having their picture taken.
This barn is so charming!
Laura, Aaron and Alaina, talking to my sister Terri.
Andy agreed to pose for a few shots for me.
I also talked Andrew and Heather go into the barn for a few pictures.
It was a fun afternoon. We've had a sneak peek at a few of the pictures from the photographer and they look great. I'll share some of them when we get them back.
Bob and I have time off next week, so I'll be taking a blogging break. We're looking forward to some time away together, in the form of some short trips. I'm sure I'll have some pictures to share when I come back. See you then!
