Open Face Cheeseburgers
1 pound hamburger, browned
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons minced onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 tablespoon mustard
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
8 hamburger buns, sliced.
Mix browned hamburger with salt and minced onion. Stir in cream of chicken soup and mustard, then stir in shredded cheese.
You can now place mix in the refrigerator until ready to use.
When ready to use, microwave mix for 1-2 minutes, just until it's soft enough to stir and spread,
Spread mix onto bun halves, then place under broiler until browned. Enjoy!
Looks so good; I am hungry now!
ReplyDeleteThese remind me of Jitterbugs. Have you ever had them? I think they were ground beef, onion and brown gravy on a slice of bread.

ReplyDeleteI tellya, these past few days with temps outdoors near 100 degrees, this whole idea of microwaved burgers and broiling ....sounds perfect. [and looks delicious]
ReplyDeleteThis is similar to our 'Sloppy Joes" and we love anything easy in the hot summer months. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try this. When I make stuffed peppers, there is always way more meat than I need. I could put that meat aside and use it later with this recipe. Sounds and looks wonderful!:>)
ReplyDeletei'll be over in time for dinner!!
