It's still quite cool, but we have flowers blooming and on Saturday we noticed that even the bigger trees are getting leaves. :) Here's what it looks like in our yard.
Bob planted this forsythia a few years ago, this year it's blooming!
We have a shady yard, and grow lots of Hosta plants. It's nice to see them coming up!
The bench is ready for some people to relax on it.
Last year we had a baby swing for Alaina. Bob put up a new one for her this year.
Look at the leaves opening up on this tree!
Flowers in our yard: Hyacinth, tulips, grape hyacinths and Grecian wind flowers.
"Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land."
Song of Solomon 2:12
Everything looks beautiful! I especially love the curly ferns!
ReplyDeleteSpring is indeed here, and I'm thankful too! Love Alaina's new swing. Lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteSo glad for warmer weather if you can get out of the wind.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like spring has arrived for you indeed! Your bench looks like a great spot to sit and read on a lovely afternoon.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love Hostas as well. Suppose to be in the 70's here by tomorrow. Blessings
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a beautiful yard. We were up into triple digits over the weekend so the Arizona heat has returned. No fun for me. I have been so busy and have missed some of your posts. So glad your state survey at work came out favorable. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing everything come to life too. With all the cold, snowy weather you had this past winter, I know the color is welcome for sure.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it exciting [and calming] to see all the new growth of Springtime?
ReplyDeleteLove the bench.
How wonderful! This must make you feel so good. Enjoy it all!
ReplyDeleteI get so excited this time of year when everything starts coming to life. My forsythia bush has yet to bloom tho.
ReplyDeleteSpring and fall are the best seasons. Winter to cold Summer to hot. Oh well God knows what is best for us.
ReplyDeleteI love to see the plants jump up out of the ground.
Hope your day is a good one.
When the forsythia begins to bloom you can be sure Spring has arrived. Beautiful photos, Mari. Spring IS extra sweet after such a long winter!
ReplyDeleteOh yes!! Even though I spent the winter in a warmer climate, it is always exciting to see all the new life of spring...
ReplyDeleteHurray!!!!! Everything looks so beautiful! I wish I could come sit on that bench for a spell!
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny. We're in full summer now -- although it's technically six weeks out -- and our abundant forsythia is a distant memory. It's nothing here to see forsythia flowers with snow on their little yellow faces, back in early March! People are already swimming in their pools and any day now I expect to hear the cicadas begin whirring in the heat. It's glorious. xoxo
ReplyDeleteyour flowers are so pretty! :) and i love your bench.
