The snow is almost gone! There are just a few small piles hanging around the yard yet.
This is a red twigged dogwood. The red color really shows up this time of year, when there are no leaves.
The red berries have been hanging on the tree all winter, providing a nice splash of red against all the white we saw all winter. I imagine they won't be there for very much longer!
This little toad has been waiting patiently under a blanket of snow. The snow is gone, now to get rid of all the dry leaves surrounding him.
Signs of spring! Our maple tree out back has buds on it!!!
What a difference a week makes... Last week this ground had a snowy blanket over it, this week we see crocus!
What a cheerful sight!
I bet you thought you may never see the ground again! haha. We have snow in the forecast for Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI planted crocus and tulips. Yours look beautiful!
And that frog looks very realistic! haha. Love his expression!
Those flowers look so good....
ReplyDeleteFunny, we have been through the snowdrop bloom, the crocus bloom, the daffodils are pretty much gone and the tulips will only be good for a few more days. Trees are blossoming everywhere and there will be roses in bloom before we know it. I'll bet you appreciate all your blooms more than we do though, after all that snow.
ReplyDeleteI do love crocus peeking out after a long winter. Glad that spring is finally finding you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see you are finally defrosting! I certainly hope you don't get any snow today!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the dreaded s word is in our forecast as well. Afer having 80's the last few days..sigh...Blessings
ReplyDeleteForecast is same in the far south! Crazy. My MIL always said when there were patches of snow laying around, it was just waiting on another...hmmm :-)
ReplyDeleteI really hope the snow misses you. it's looking very springlike now, won't be much longer!
ReplyDeleteNow that our ice and snow is gone, we are getting hard rain and high wind we are so wet. But plants are popping out all over, may get frost tonight.
ReplyDeleteThe red branches are beautiful. Yes, my daughter said snow predictions in Nasvhille??? What??? If it does, it won't stick. 80 degrees there yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the spring fix Mari, we had rain yesterday and this morning we woke up to snow :(
ReplyDeleteI know that you are really excited to see some signs of spring and that is a good thing. We thought that winter would never end. The good side of it is I heard that the trees are really going to pop with color and flowers later on. We have already mowed the lawn and it needs it again. We put the snow blower away but snow is coming again. Like you said, it won't last long. I think we will just stay inside till it goes away. :)
ReplyDeleteI think it is actually gorgeous! : )
ReplyDeleteCrocus! You're there! Yayyyyy! xoxo
ReplyDeletegorgeous berries. hope the snow didn't get you too badly.
ReplyDeleteGosh, such beautiful flowers. Those crocuses look like a painting!
