What's happening...

This is my Dad and stepmom with Alaina at Christmas.  Those of you who've been around for a while may remember that my Dad had a lot of health problems last winter.  They ended up putting a defibrillator/pacemaker in and he did very well.  However, last week, the defibrillator (which has never gone off) went off 3 times. His medication was adjusted and he felt good for a few days, but then started having problems and passed out at home.  He went to the ER and spent a few days in the hospital, where they ran a bunch of tests and adjusted his meds again.  He's back home, but still isn't feeling great and doesn't have much energy.  He'll be going to his specialist next week.  Please pray that he starts to feel better and for wisdom for his doctors as they treat him.

In other news, Heather finally got the word that her car was totaled.  We feel the insurance company gave her a fair deal in the settlement.  Now we're on a car search, which isn't nice when you're in the position of needing one fairly quickly!

  10. Hi Mari! Of course I will keep your Dad in my prayers, I am so blessed that you would ask. I hope his meds will get titrated correctly, and he can start to feel better soon. This photo is just precious by the way.

I'm glad you finally have an answer on your daughters car. I'll include a prayer to find just the right car for her. It is hard to get one in a time crunch, but God may have just the thing ready too.

    Blessings to you my friend!

  12. Lifting your dad up in prayer. The heart can be tricky/sneaky. Glad he's going to his specialist soon---they seem to be able to figure out the sneaky tricks the heart plays.

Also glad the car situation worked out the way you wanted it. God has a way of working out the choice dilemna as well. :>)

  17. I was just thinking about your dad the other day, Mari, and figuring that no news was good news. I am so sorry to hear he's taken a less-than-great turn. I know the harsh winter has been hard on older folks. I will keep both you and your dad in my prayers and hope to hear soon that he's back feeling chipper just in time for spring. xoxo
