Have you seen these around you yet? They are called Sumo Clementines. They're about the size of a regular orange, but they peel even easier than a regular clementine. That top bump just pops off and the rest peels so quickly. There's none of the white that stays attached to a regular orange, no seeds and a wonderful sweet flavor.
The drawback is the price. In my store, these are about $2, however they've been on sale for half price, so I stocked up. I figure it beats spending it on coffee or chocolate, right?
Funny, but I haven't seen those around here, but I will look. We have so much citrus here in Arizona that we must have those as well! I love a fresh orange with my breakfast so I would like to find some of those on sale! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love clementines, so will have to look for these! Yum!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone else was talking about these...I'll have to check them out!
ReplyDeleteI have not seen them in the store yet. They're cute!
ReplyDeleteOh yum. And when something's this good, the cost isn't important in my opinion. The old adage, 'you get what you pay for' rings true.
ReplyDeleteWe love them and look for them in the grocery soon...but you are right, pricy!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of these but I'll be looking for them now. Sounds like a spectacular snacking experience. Thanks Mari. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI will def look when I go to the store on Thursday. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI love em I went in and got the advertised HONEYBELLS..not impressed and then I got one like you posted..it was much better and sweeter.I don't eat nearly as much citrus as I should ..Loved them though.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen them yet-bet they are sweet, will have to try them.
ReplyDeleteHi Mari! Are these the same as 'baby bells'? They kind of look like those.
ReplyDeleteI don't know...chocolate sounds awfully good too :)
But these are way better for you. Good call!
Happy Tuesday,
Ceil
I'm eating one right now! Yum! Thanks for telling us about them! They were on sale at my grocery today!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! We love satsumas, as they are easy to peel and taste great, but I've never seen anything like your photo, I'll be on the look-out for some!
ReplyDeleteI had not seen these yet. Sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the bday wishes for John.
Enjoy your evening.
Maybe the ease of opening it would encourage me to eat them more!
ReplyDeletei'm a clementine junkie, but i've not seen these yet!
