As usual, her first order of business when she walks into the house is to find "Owiver" (Oliver). As you can see by these pictures, she's pretty happy to be holding him but his face isn't quite as joyful.
Alaina is so fun at this age. She's showing so much more personality; she likes to tease us by holding something out to us and then pulling it back while laughing, "roaring" in the back seat of the car to scare us and calling "Grandma, Grandpa or "Heder" (Heather) in a funny voice.
She's also learned how to use the apps on my Kindle. I put a few games on it that Laura said she enjoyed. I was amazed at the ability of a 2 year old to choose which app she wants and play these games.
We also stopped to see great grandma - Bob's mom, and great grandpa - my Dad. We had lunch at Wendy's and she was thrilled to have fries and a burger. It was a fun time for all of us!
Oh what fun you two have....enjoy.
ReplyDeleteAww poor Oliver he doesn't look too delighted does he? Ha.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a lovely time. I've never been to Wendy's, I think I need to pay them a visit next time I'm in the States.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww, sounds like a most PERFECT time all the way around. Sweet memories you've made for you and Alaina.
ReplyDeleteShe is just the cutest little thing! I know you enjoy your time with her!
ReplyDeleteAlaina is a doll. She and Oliver make me smile! Glad you had a wonderful visit. Thanks for sharing her photos with us.
ReplyDelete{giggling} over Oliver. Poor thing..Thanks for sharing..she is such a cutie!! Blessings
ReplyDeleteOscar was very happy to see her as well as me :)
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable and I understand how much you enjoy being with her. Kids these days are so smart and especially with the techie toys. What a special time you had.
ReplyDeleteWonderful moments with a beautiful princess :)
ReplyDeleteYou're making such great memories!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, they are so smart. My 4 year old great grandson can play games and he is out to win them. His dad just has to show him one time how to do it and those little fingers just fly.
ReplyDeleteAlaina is becoming such a big, smart girl. I think it's wonderful that you take her overnight on your weekends off, it must be a lot of fun for everyone and I'm sure her parents enjoy the little break too. I love the photos of her with Oliver, he seems like a very patient kitty. :)
ReplyDeleteI had to share with Alan about her funny voice from the back seat to scare you. What a fun age!
ReplyDeleteAwwww! What a pretty girl -- and a patient cat, lol!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little sweetheart! Absolutely adorable. Sorry I missed this post somehow or would have commented sooner. Love me some babies! I'm about ready to see mine. We face-timed last night and didn't want to talk to us. He said, "No, Bonbon, NO!" He's definitely in the 2's.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture of Bob and Alaina! Yes, kids on devices is second nature to them!
ReplyDeletePrecious days with a precious baby. She is such a dollbaby. Poor Oliver. He gets the prize for being longsuffering.
