I hope you all had a nice Christmas. I enjoyed my little blogging break and Christmas too. Here's a few pictures of our Christmas celebrations.
Laura, Aaron and Alaina came over on Christmas Eve for our family gathering.
Alaina sat with Bob while he read the Christmas story from Luke.
Andy wasn't able to get home this year, but we spent some time on Skype with him. After that we opened our gifts to each other.
Alaina has opening gifts figured out, but she also found that they work quite well as a seat and a desk.
She loves the Bubble Guppies show, and was happy with a big, stuffed Mr Grouper.
Andy sent this beautiful plaque for Bob and I. We hung it in the kitchen where we can enjoy it all the time!
My whole family came on Christmas Day. This included Bob, Laura, Aaron, Alaina, Heather, my Dad, stepmom, brother, 2 sisters and brother-in-laws, 5 nieces and 1 nephew!
Here's the whole clan, ready to eat a yummy ham dinner.
My nephew Nick, Heather, Alaina and niece Katelyn.
My Dad and step-mom had fun letting Alaina "help" with their gifts.
Time spent with those we love is the best part of the Christmas celebrations.
Looks like you all had a wonderful time! It's always fun to have a little one around to 'help' everyone with their wrapping and bows! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved your pictures! And thank God for SKYPE right??? Alaina sitting on the boxes made for a sweet memory too! I'm so glad you had a wonderful time with family, because as you said, that is really what makes Christmas wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a lovely Christmas, Mari. Alaina is at such a fun age now, for opening gifts and being excited about Santa!
ReplyDeleteHow I enjoyed this holiday share of family and love. Such a happy, wonderful time had by all. The pictures shine Mari.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Your Christmas looked like you had fun enjoying family and food. The story of the Christ child and family makes it perfect. Happy New Year to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely family Christmas you had! I love that you were able to gather with so many members of your family, and remember Jesus the truly reason for the holiday! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely family you have. So jealous, wish we had that with our families. I so enjoy reading about bloggy friends lives and looking at pictures. Have a Happy New Year. Blessings
ReplyDeleteHow fun! No wonder you had to take a break from blogging in order to get ready for the celebration. Having Alaina around is better than having Santa around. :)
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely time together! So cozy and lots of good food. Well done. Now for one last hurrah before 2014! Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteMadelyn loves Bubble Guppies too. I'd never heard of it until a few weeks ago.
