We've had such crazy weather in Michigan this winter. We usually have a lot of snow by January, but this year we had only a dusting until last week when I shared
these pictures with you. That was on Monday. On Tuesday the temperatures went up, the snow melted and we got fog, lots of fog! These pictures were taken at about 1pm, and it continued to get foggier until late in the night when it started to rain. It was crazy having thunderstorms in January!
My neighbors farm
I thought this drive looked a little creepy with the hand lettered keep out and the fog.
You can hardly see the road!
Down my road, the fog hangs over a field.
So, this was Tuesday. On Wednesday the temperatures dropped again and it started snowing. By Thursday it was pretty nasty out and Friday all the schools around were cancelled.
This picture was taken of a picnic table at work on Friday. All this snow fell since Wednesday and it's been falling since then.
I think I've seen enough for this year!
On another note - my computer is acting up and I think it's time to take it in for a check up. I won't be around till it comes back unless I borrow Bob's or Heathers.
See you when I return!
Still beautiful pictures. You're right, the 'keep out' pic would be a good one for a movie setting!
ReplyDeleteI send you warm thoughts...
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures. I hope you get your computer back soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, your picnic table looks so funny! I love it when the snow falls straight down and stacks high like that!
ReplyDeletethe fog is sooo cool!
These are great photos. Hope your computer is an easy fix.
ReplyDeleteStormy weather and computer problems! Not a good combination. Have a good week anyway, Mari!
ReplyDeletegorgeous photos! :)
ReplyDeletei had some friends who ran the groundhog day marathon up in your part of the country! crazy stuff.
We have had that ice and fog.
ReplyDeleteWe need moisture so bad but I am hoping for just good rain. It sure has been one crazy year as far as weather.
Hugs
What a huge difference in weather...we are having differences too but to the degree you are...those foggy pictures were cool...and I can't believe the amount of snow on that picnic table....
ReplyDeleteHope you are back soon....
Your week sounded just like ours, except everything was a day or two earlier! And we have not gotten as much snow. We usually get an inch or two per day - just the right amount to be pretty, but not make the roads treacherous.
ReplyDeleteHope your computer is fixed up soon!
Hope your computer woes are nothing too costly. Mari, as you know, I love fog. But in Michigan and January no less? Odd...like you said, I remember when my MIL was still with us and in Michigan the winters were snowy, cold and blustery. But, on the bright side, looking at the silver lining here, at least YOUR getting some moisture. Wish we could.
ReplyDeleteYou really have an eye for picture taking...so cool!
ReplyDeleteI've had enough of this snow to last me several winters, and Hal has REALLY had it with clearing the driveway and sidewalk!
Hope your computer is a easy fix!
The crazy weather made for some great photos. I hope your computer feels better soon:(
ReplyDeleteNot missing that crazy Michigan weather at all :)
ReplyDeleteBut the photos are very cool!
Crazy or not, you still captured some amazing photos! I always love how you capture the beauty all around you!
ReplyDeleteWere you out standing in that fog to get those pictures? I am such a scaredy cat that there is no way I would've been in the middle of it...especially the creepy keep out sign. Hope your computer is back soon.
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to comment on your blog site but it will not allow me.
