These two are the winners of the 2012 Junior Division National Shag dance competition. He's 17, she's only 15. They are both very talented, but the 17 year old is incredible. The original description said his legs were like liquid magic, and it's true. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI guess I missed the whole shag dance movement, but I love the fluidity of it. The resolution isn't so good in the video, so I couldn't tell if this is true or not, but his pants look like the crotch is really low, kind of an MC Hammer look.

ReplyDeleteLiquid magic is a good description: he doesn't appear to have an ounce of stiffness in his body! Maybe he's double jointed all over. :)

I just LOVED this! The shag is one of my favorite dances to watch, and wish I could do! It's not easy, and these two kids are very creative and good.
