I'm a big fan of freezer meals. Because I work full time, it's a real blessing to have a few meals waiting in the freezer for those busy days.
I don't often do full days of cooking to make them. I usually just make a double batch of something and put one in the freezer. If you're doing one, it's so easy to double it!
This is one of the easiest recipes ever. You just throw it together in a freezer bag, and put it in the crock pot to cook. The ribs were very tasty and tender.

1-2 lbs of country-style pork ribs
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 1/2 Tablespoons seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
Place pork in resealable
gallon-sized freezer bag. Mix remaining ingredients together in a bowl
and pour over pork. Mix together in bag and zip closed.
When ready to eat, remove from freezer and thaw in fridge for 24 hours. Cook on low for 7-8 hours
Sounds delicious and easy.
ReplyDeleteWow, Mari. That sounds very good. I never buy ribs but I may have to venture out and try them! I don't work full time but as you well know, I love cooking in the crock pot! Happy Wednesday to you!

ReplyDeleteThey look delicious. And I admire your "pluck" since, when I still worked full time, I hardly ever cooked.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Come to think of it, I don't cook all that often now that I am retired, either. Oh, dear. :)
