My kids gave me a nice gift certificate to a nearby nursery for Mothers Day. I love walking through and looking at all those beautiful flowers! Here's what I ended up with for now.
I'll be going back with Bob to buy some perennials for the back yard.
A pretty welcome basket for the front porch.

What a thoughtful gift! I'm envious of your baskets. I never seem to be able to keep them healthy so have sort of given up trying....
ReplyDeleteIf I DID decide to try again, I think I'd take you along to help me in the selection process :)
such a better gift than cut flowers! :) beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I bought a fushia this year too, I understand they like the shade. I didn't know about the hummingbirds...that's a bonus!
ReplyDeleteYour home always looks so lovely!
Alllllllllll your choices were perfect. Beautiful colors Mari. Wish I could have a fuchsia...they do well for about a week...then, it gets too hot and sunny in our yard for them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers - great kids. You can't get any better than that, right?
ReplyDeleteMari,
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers, all of them but my favorite is the one with the welcome sign. Also love the purple and yellow one. I need to get photos of my backyard now that it's fixed up a little. Loved seeing your flowers. What a great Mother's Day gift.
Blessings,
Mary
What beautiful plants you chose....They are all so gorgeous....Great gift your kids gave you....
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, the perfect gift! I always get a fuschia but wait 'till after Mother's Day for obvious reasons.
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty pricy 'round here but I saw one on the square yesterday and stopped to see. The tag was seventeen dollars and I though...not bad. It's big and bountiful.
I went to check it out and was told the total was eight dollars. No joke! The gal said she was takin' a loss but the plant needed a new home. Go figure.
Needless to say...I did my happy dance right then and there!
Your plants are beautiful!
God bless ya and have a fantastic day!!! :o)
So pretty! I really like that mixed basket -- it's just so happy :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice gift and the flowers you picked out are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful!! I haven't been flower shopping yet.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful! I love that your kids gave you a gift certificate to a nursery! What a neat idea! I think I might steal it for my mom next year. :)
ReplyDeleteJillian and I are having fun planting pretty flowers this year. It's such a nice thing to see the beauty grow all around.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I need to get a hanging basket too. All mine are planted in the ground but I think it's time to add this b/c it looks gorgeous how you have it placed.
ReplyDeleteI've taken to putting most of my annuals in pots. I just don't get up and down like I use to so they are easier to care for.
ReplyDeleteLove your choices. They are gorgeous.
