Not so patiently waiting...

Some of you have sent me messages wondering about the baby. Well - I have no news. It would appear that our granddaughter is perhaps a little stubborn!
She was due a week ago, and as of now, she shows no signs of wanting to be born. Laura says she feels like the watched pot that doesn't boil.
I was good and patient until the due date came ... and then went. Now I'm thinking about her every time the phone rings. Laura had another ultrasound and a non -stress test which told them everything was fine and baby just wasn't ready to be born yet.
You can be sure I'll let you know when she is born. Hoping it's soon!

  3. I feel for her! Both my girls were 8 days late (even tho' they are 13 years apart!). Ironically their birth time was only 6 minutes apart. I'm glad she is letting nature take its course. It won't be long!

  7. I've been checking kind of impatiently to see if she's been born yet. I remembered when it was because of Robert's birthday. I know you've got to be much more impatient! What an exciting time for all of you!

  14. I've been sitting over here for a week wondering, "Did I dream it that Laura's due date was the 11th???" I figured I'd gotten mixed up when you didn't mention it throughout the last week, but now I find you're all on pins and needles. I certainly know the feeling. Tell Laura I thought Andrew Guy would NEVER be born and even my doctor became concerned so he scheduled a fetal stress test ... on the morning of the test I went out for breakfast and as I got out of the car to go in and eat a waffle, my water broke. Andrew was born that night. So maybe y'all should all go out to brekkie!!!!!! I eagerly await the joyous news. Praying for you all.

  22. A watched pot that never boils. That made me laugh out loud. But I can soooo relate! On my due date with Lisa the doc told me I was totally ready to go, could not believe I wasn't having any contractions. I was so excited. Then I went two more weeks!!

  24. My precious friend Mari,
Its me....Leigh. I know you must think Ive forgotten you (Never!!) , or perhaps you have forgotten me. Seems these days I chase my tail end most of the time. Life as a mom, I know you know all about it. I just havent had time nor energy for blogging like I used to. I post things to keep my blog current, but as far as real thoughtful or personal post...I cant seem to find the time. I hope to again, bc I do enjoy it. Mostly...MAINLY bc of the special people I met and miss cooresponding with. Including you!
Please email me. Tell me how the kids are? And this new baby? Is yur son still in the service? How is he? I just miss you Mari! You are just one of those very special people! Love ya!
