Kristen at We are THAT Family is hosting Works for me Wednesday again. Stop over at her blog for a whole bunch of good ideas!
My tip for today is about grilling. Whenever we grill here, we take advantage of the hot and ready grill and do some extras and freeze them. Hamburgers work especially well, if you let them cool just a bit, then put waxed paper between the patties and put them in a zip lock bag. Then if you need a quick supper or lunch, you just have to thaw and microwave them for a minute and they taste surprisingly good! Boneless, skinless chicken breasts also freeze well.
Those of you with big families probably don't have any extras but this works well for us, as often it's just Bob and I eating. They don't seem like leftovers this way!
It's so much work to fire up our charcoal grill that we do the same thing and get all our grilling for the week done at once! Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI've never thought about freezing extra burgers when we grill. Great idea!
