A few days ago, Simone over at Chocolate Covered Daydreams did a post on Simple Things. It's a good idea to be reminded of how many simple things bring us joy. However, this post did even more. She had linked to another Simple Things post at Christines blog. Christine and her family are giving a dollar for every simple things post that links to her, to Doctors without borders. This will help, not only those in Haiti, but in other places where medical care is not easily obtained. So, here's my list. Feel free to join us!
- a breeze on a hot summer day
- sunshine in the winter
- snow covered pine trees
- a baby laughing
- the smell of fresh cut grass
- a clean house
- warm, comfy slippers
- the first flowers in the spring
- clean sheets on my bed
- having my family all together
- hearing a favorite song on the radio
- the smell of baking bread
- a smile from one of my residents
- laughter
oooh, i just love a baby laughing and the smell of baking bread. divine.

ReplyDeleteWe are so blessed with all things, great and small, and it's good to take time to remind ourselves of each and every blessing HE give us and blesses us with.

....Mari, the Golden Fronted Woodpecker is found only in Texas and the lower part of Oklahoma. Mostly, they're Old Mexico and the Caribbean/Central American bird. That's why it was a 'kodak moment' yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a good post...precious thoughts, too.
ReplyDeleteMy simple things:
* my little ones singing to Jesus the made up songs they write to Jesus
* my hubs telling me I am beautiful first thing in the morning
* the smell of my worn out Bible
* the purring kitty sitting in my lap in the quiet morning hours as I talk to Jesus
* the perfect love that casts out fear...simple, but profound.
