I love living in a place where the seasons change. Autumn is beautiful with the cooler temperatures and many colors. Although it's still mostly green around here, there are unmistakable signs of Fall in the air!
The Autumn Joy Sedum, which was creamy colored all summer has been darkening to a burgandy color.
Our hydrangea tree is changing too. The blossoms are no longer bright white, but are becoming mauve and will continue to darken throughout the season.
The occasional leaf is beginning to change.
And soon, there will be color all over!
The changing fall colors make me homesick! We don't get the orange at all and not much red either here. Such gorgeous photos; especially love that last photo with the sun shining through the trees, making the colors of the turning leaves just glow.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure my last failed attempt at No Bakes was compromised due to inferior ingredients. I bought oatmeal at the local health food store and it is very fine and kind of powdery, which translated into a powdery texture and taste. Also the cocoa powder from the same place is NOT good. I'm hoping to make a trip to Walmart this week or next for a box of Quaker Oats and hopefully better cocoa powder too.
Have a great week!
Our trees are starting to change too. They've been confused all summer with the cool weather and some of them with yellowish leaves tried to turn in July but then stopped. It's crazy!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your flower pictures up close. They are so bright and focused.
Mari,
ReplyDeleteMy favourite seasons are autumn and spring. The sights, sounds and fragrances of autumn in our part of the world are delightful. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
We don't have a lot of colour here this fall and I doubt if we will have the vibrant colours of some years. However, as you said, there are definite signs of the season.
Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Mary
I like autumn the best, too.
ReplyDeleteI think it's amazing that you know which flowers are which and what colors they are at the different seasons! I would say "those thingies there..."
There's so many things I love about living in Florida....BUT...I do miss having definite seasons. That's what I loved about living in Nashville.
ReplyDeleteLoved your photos.
Hugs!

I love it when the leaves turn colors in the fall! My favorites are the beautiful oranges, yellows, reds and purples of the maple trees! Love your pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteI too love the change of seasons...around here tho, our "Autumn" comes when everyone else is having their Winters! But at least we do have leaf color change and crisp mornings and bright clear blue skies of Fall.
ReplyDeleteThat one photo of the lone red leaf is amazing. Love that photo!!!

ReplyDeleteI admit the colors are wonderful but fall is not my favorite only because winter follows and I hate the cold, the older I get the worse I tolerate it. sigh...
