Oliver gets visitors

Our daughter Laura stopped over Saturday with their 2 dogs, Sophie and Reminton. She said it was time for them to meet our cat.
You can see that Oliver isn't too happy about this idea! What you can't see is how the dogs reacted. Although they are way bigger than Oliver, they weren't going to go near him as he arched his back and hissed!

The girls decided it would work better to hold Oliver and let the dogs come up and check him.

Sophie decided Oliver wasn't so bad. Reminton still wasn't too sure and Oliver really didn't appreciate the whole situation.

Here Laura is comforting Oliver after that traumatic event! In the end, they all survived and we had fun watching them interact.

  1. Love the new look!
Oliver is too funny... I always think it's a hoot when a small cat can scare a much bigger dog. Even in the last photo, Oliver seems to be looking daggers at the dogs. LOL
Almost time to go see Andy! Woot!

  2. That's funny! I don't know what Peka would do, although when we adopted him the paperwork said that they found him surrounded by dogs, so I'm thinking it wouldn't be a good thing. He actually had a bite injury in his shoulder area that required surgery from it.

How long will you be visiting with Andy?

  5. When Bree was little we had a cat (Mr. Randi) and a dog (Mr. Monty). They played together all the time. Lots of aggrevating each other too. smile I have lots of good memories watching them.

The photos of your girls and the pets are so cute.

    Hugs!

  6. Mari,

Our older cat, Max would handle anything you literally brought his way with grace and much humility. He tolerated anything.

Now Moo our youngest brat cat, it's her way or the proverbial highway. She doesn't want anything to do with any other creature sharing her mansion with more than enough room to spare.

I would tell her however, she would have to make room for Oliver to visit. He is just too darn cute for words.

  9. Such a cute post. I love dogs and cats. And the girls are beautiful!

I'm just too glad there wasn't a cat and dog fight inside your house. It would have been disastrous!
