Take a walk with me

I thought I would show you some pictures from the area I frequently walk in.
.

These ditches along my road may not look pretty at first glance, but there are different wildflowers blooming all the time.

.
Here is an example of one of those wildflowers. It's a bloom on a milkweed plant, and this monarch butterfly is enjoying it!

.
Look at this beautiful field! There are so many different things blooming here!

.
This is the path into the State property near our home. You can only get into it by walking. No vehicles allowed. As I walked in, I scared a deer who was hidden in the thick growth.

.

The whole area is beautiful; wooded and green. It's very quiet, with only the sound of the leaves rustling in the wind and the birds singing.

.

Here is another pretty little spot. It's all natural with nothing planted or landscaped. I think God does a pretty nice job of landscaping it on his own!
.
This is why I always take my camera on my walks. There is so much beauty to be seen and it changed daily!

  1. Your pictures are beautiful. What I love about the camera it does not pick up any of the dust and dirt that might be on the grass or leaves, it only shows the beauty.
It looks like what God created before the fall.

  11. As I look at the pictures I can feel the peace and stillness . You know the bird songs in a place like this is always in accord with the stillness. It never seems to be out of order with the landscape God created.
    Thank you for sharing today.

  23. Oh wow Mari, that butterfly on the flower is AMAZING!! You MUST have a good camera. I've tried time and time again to get shots like those with my little thing, but it just doesn't have as good of quality photos when I zoom in and when I go in for the 'kill' the little suckers fly away! :/

I loved walking with you here today!! Thank-you for inviting me along :)

  28. What a beautiful place! If my husband and I can ever plan a vacation that doesn't head east to see family, Michigan is where we'd love to go. Ideally, we'd love to find a nice cabin near the lake to rent.

Do you know if this campground has cabins to rent, or do you know of a campground along the coast which does? :)

    I loved your pictures, btw!
