Wild Flowers

I've shown you pictures of the flowers around our house before, but today I though I would show you some wild flowers and weeds that are growing along the road and in the fields.
These little flowers were covering a bush on the side of the road.

.
These little weeds are growing all over in the ditch next to the road. I remember picking these for my Mom when I was young. We also liked to play with the puffy seed pod.
.

Isn't this beautiful? It looks like a wild rose. I found it growing wild near an old fence at the side of the road.
.

I don't think I've ever seen this weed before. It kind of resembles a dandelion, but is bigger and when it is in bloom there are green spiky things sticking out from the flower. When it goes to seed it is really big and fluffy.

I've been taking a picture a day for my 365 photo blog and have found it amazing how many things I notice that I never would have otherwise. It shows me that God has placed beauty all around us. We just need to open our eyes and see it!

isn't it funny the things you see through the lens of a camera, that like you said, you might otherwise not have seen !?

  3. Weeds are kind of pretty in their own way, aren't they. I saw a field covered with dandelions once and thought how beautiful. Of course, when those dandelions crop up in my own flower bed, then they're not so beautiful anymore. :-D

    Nice pics.

  5. They are as beautiful as something planted in a garden. It's all about opening our eyes to see God's beauty everywhere. I think we miss alot, just because life is so busy. Thanks for taking the time to take these pictures and then sharing them!
